I wish there was little more information on this. All I can find is a carbon copy of the linked story. I am assuming from the University statement that it involves another Mount student - granted it was 3 counts so it leaves me wondering if it was more than one student. Not good at all.

I saw a bit more in the regional briefs on Ohio.com.
"ALLIANCE: A former University of Mount Union football player is charged with raping three students, Beacon Journal partner News 5 Cleveland reported.

Jordan Hargrove, who is still a student at the school, was arrested Thursday and appeared in court Friday, according to the television station.

The News 5 report said Hargrove is accused of committing sexual assaults at the off-campus house where he lives. The incidents reportedly occurred in September 2016, February and September, and allegedly involved two 18-year-olds and one 19-year-old.

News 5 said Hargrove could face up to 11 years in jail for each offense if convicted."
I would have just used a link but there is a bunch of other stuff in it. https://www.ohio.com/akron/news/local/regional-briefs-sept-30-former-mount-union-and-st-v-m-player-charged-with-rapes

The news this morning said that 1 student came forward recently and then was followed by the 2 additional students. A sad story - I hope he gets exactly what he deserves.

UMU dressed in all black for today's game. Blackout = black helmets, black jerseys, black pants.  They looked sharp during warm ups.

With last week's high temps the blackout would = overheated team

As Ohio Northern captains for coin toss one ONU player walks on field with sledgehammer. Does anyone know what the sledgehammer for ONU symbolizes?

Very methodical opening drive for Mount.  Lots of Petruccelli.  Chewed up nearly half the quarter and got a FG.  3-0.

In an oddity for 2017, both offenses are taking their time, huddling up, etc. and running the ball a lot.  Other than Mount taking one shot deep it's been very conservative.

89 yard pick 6 for Gabe Brown makes it 10-0.

Mount goes from run, run, run to shotgun 5 WR.  Herrington with 2 straight catches including the score.  17-0.  Mount D is suffocating Northern.

27-0 at half.  ONU has been held to 45 total yards.  VK isn't going to have much to yell at his defense about in the locker room.

What an effort by the defense today.  They allowed their first TD of the year, but the starters held ONU under 150 yards in their 3.5 qtrs of work.

3 straights runs by Petruccli yielded two first downs and one hurdle of tackler.

Mount DBs are playing impressive with 2 interceptions, 3 or 4 passes broken up, and almost 2 more pickoffs. All with 12:44 to go in 2nd. Not much Mount offense so far but very aggressive defense.

Not a bad game for the Raider O...but not a good one either. They looked out of sync on a few series, too much pressure on Fulford and too many turnovers (3). I didn't see anything ONU did on D that was that impressive (no offense to ONU intended) rather Mount looked off - best word I have right now. The Mount D set the tone and delivered the win today. Stats, as always are skewed a tad but Freed (OAC leading passer) was 19/38 (50%) and 197yds (50 of those against the 2's with less than 5 mins in game. He came in at 71% and tossed 2 picks (should have been 4) and 2 TDs (1 against the 2s). Mount took him out of the game. The OAC leading rusher, Williams, had 17 carries for 49 yds and was a non factor.

I did notice a few things:
1. The big TE for Mount can't catch in traffic...or maybe at all. 2 drops on 2 very catchable balls.
2. D missed a tip ONU kept giving - sprint motion across the set with the RB from slot = swing pass. ONU hit that every time for good yards.
3. Poorman did not see the field despite being listed as the 2nd QB on the depth chart for the 2nd week in a row.

ONU may have taken a sledgehammer to the coin toss - but Mount actually used it.

Edit - Forgot a 4th thing - I did not like the helmets at all.

Was not impressed by Mount's offense today...took them 20 minutes to score an offensive TD.

ONU helped out Mount by bringing the hammer as it was used as last nail in the coffin today.

And...all together now...BYE-BYE- smelly birds!!

I don't want to speculate but no one really saw UWW coming and suddenly they were top dog and LAX disappeared into the basement. 4 games down and UWW in 1 - 3. Ouch. I have read their fan comments off and on about coaching and scheme....has UWW been replaced by UWO for the foreseeable future?

It's NORMAL for a team losing a Lance Leipold to fall off in performance.  It's NORMAL for a team losing a Tom Arth to fall off in performance.

What is NOT normal is for a team losing a Larry Kehres to NOT fall off in performance.  (Though, obviously, Mount Union hasn't REALLY lost Larry Kehres.  Still.)

They lost Lance Leipold at the end of the 2014 season. 2015 was a down year in terms of performance (ask the UWWs), 2016 was a rebound, this year...1-3. I would understand if it was jcu (and it is) because Arth just left. This is year 3 under bullis and UWW is getting worse.

Good observation and I pretty much agree with you.  A few additional comments to add.

1. UMU DBs played aggressive today and were ballhawks as well as intimidators.  They delivered clean but hard hits on ONU receivers.
2.  Mount D stifled the ONU quarterback for a good part of the game.  We left before the final TD so I can't judge how well he did against the second unit.
3. I agree that Fulford at times today was in a funk.  He takes too many sacks and often I'm surprised he doesn't use his speed to his advantage.
4.  For another week in a row Mount has much more team speed than their opponent, but today they didn't leverage that advantage as much as they could have.
5. Mounts TE drops stalled a couple of key drives and seamed to prevent Mount O from getting in a good rhythm.
6.  Poorman looked sharp in warmup so and I'm surprised he didn't get in the game.
7.  We chatted with LK before the game and he was the most relaxed I've seem him before a game.
8.  I heard that the JV game for tomorrow is cancelled.

Desertraider

I streamed the game and noticed several times that when Fulford was forced out and chose to run he seems to prefer inside as opposed to outside. On one Petrucelli had the LB screened inside and there was 20 yards of green down the sideline - Fulford cut inside right into the LB.

i agree on the TE comments 100%. I saw Mount get into tempo on 2 drives and they loooked good until - drop over the middle, and again with a drop on a seam route.

Any reason as to why the JV game is being cancelled?

Logan Hansen of Hansen Ratings just put out his updated DIII top 25 rankings and has UWW ranked at number 8.  Logan does his rankings based on analytical data and not win loss record alone.  I must admit his rankings are unique. The top 4 in his updated rankings are in order UMU, MHB, St Tomas, UWO.
