Pradierguy, I think the Raider D would circle the wagons.  They've got some seniors that are battle tested with a chip on their shoulder.  They're going to play their best in an "us against the world" scenario.  Time to man up.

Dr. Acula

Poorman and Davis have both played varsity football.  While not ideal at this point in the playoffs it could be far worse.  Anyone recall the playoff game against Wabash when injuries forced a green Kevin Burke into action unexpectedly?  THAT was a bad situation.  In this case you have 2 QB's who have started games in the wings.  Survive and advance.  Let's go.

I hate to bring this up but - who do think would be better option: Poorman or Davis?

Poorman is the back-up but he only has a couple series a game in mop-up. Davis at least has been playing all year, granted JV, but he has been playing game in, game out.

I think there is a reason Poorman is #2 on the depth chart. I trust this coaching staff with picking the best option.

I agree he #2 for a reason. Just saying..he hasn't had a meaningful snap since October last year and hasn't had a mop up snap since..week 9? Or did he get in against Case?

Correct on the arrest. However, with one FTA and warrant issued, a second FTA normally would equal.."book em' Danno". Got a feeling D'Angelo isn't getting a full nights sleep tonight.

Again... I am awaiting official confirmation.

What a mess!  The Florida warrant I don't know enough to judge, and he was a juvenile and pre-UMU.  I think UMU probably should not have played him as a precaution (and since when does UMU need #1 QB to win in the first or second round?)

But driving with a suspended license WHILE a UMU student, then skipping out on a court date??!!  If he EVER plays another down at UMU, I will lose all respect for the school (unless circumstances I can't quite even imagine intervene).  In the immortal word of the alleged president: SAD.

No doubt. The Mount fan in me says this. The objective football person in me says it's a lot to overcome, not even taking the distractions into consideration. It's not like overcoming an injury. This is as disruptive as possible.

So Frostburg State has won two consecutive road games in this playoff season. Does anyone know if this has ever been done before or is this the first time? I'm impressed by this and don't recall anyone ever doing this in the past.

I'm also somewhat surprised that the NCAA doesn't have a rule in place that awards a team a home game if their first two playoff games were on the road and they win and advance to the third round. I know this is a rule the NCAA put into place when they took over the NIT basketball tournament several years back. Maybe this has been a non issue in D3 football until now.

UMHB won 4 playoff games, on the road, en route to the Stagg Bowl in 2004. The CRU lost in the championship game to Linfield 28-21.

Remember when we used to talk about injuries, what the Raiders need to work on, how good is the next opponent, etc., etc.............
Sure miss those days. Perhaps "this too shall pass"!

No kidding. I remember reading in here, not to long ago, that some coach (somewhere) had said something about the problems with Florida kids and questioned whether or not it was worth recruiting them. I miss the good old days of " I heard he missed some classes and is in the doghouse".

I may be completely off base but as someone else said, "where was the lawyer"? In view of the Florida situation, I would think his attorney would just about drive him to court. Or, at least, make sure he gets there.
The onus is certainly on Fulford to be there but seems like someone else failed him.
This is a young man who must take responsibility for his action. Those of us that are older and supposedly wiser know that. But, we all need help from time to time. Sounds like, maybe, he didn't get it.
He needs to get his life in order - not for the team, not for dear old Mount Union but for himself. Life on the team will end. Life at Mount Union will end. But his life will, hopefully, go on for a long time.
I wish him the best.
