jdean,

What local paper and is there a link? I remember hearing about one of those recruits in an earlier recruiting update here in D3. He sounded a little cocky but that will be worked out.

The good old Alliance Review. http://www.the-review.com
It requires registration and if you aren't a newspaper subscriber you'll get limited access. The names of the 3 guys in the same order as listed in my original post are:

John James Vagnier, D Evan Lamolinara and Nate Berkey.

I wanted to hear everyones opinion on the NCAC proposal to cap institutions from joining division III. Their arguement is based on the sheer number to schools and the public/private school divide. I know our OAC schools brought home 2 titles that I know of, football and baseball. Witt was runnerup in basketball. I think you can only play the number of people required for each sport and it sounds like a bunch of busch league whining.

Ric- I want to suggest that the OAC gives you permission to run its outdated website or a football only version of it. You do a great job with your own and it would be beneficial to all.

HSCoach- Thank Cap for MUC's national title. You didn't want to see us again in the playoffs.

haven't seen the NCAC proposal...is it listed somewhere...

I know the Springfield, Ohio, paper made a big deal out of this thing last week but it's hardly new. A proposal to cap the size of Division III has been talked about for years, and in fact, for some time we had a moratorium on admitting new members.

Sorry to burst your bubble RC, but all of us MUCers were a lot more scared of playing Capital again than we were ONU.  Capital gave us all we could handle in the regular season with the Raiders healthy and playing very well that day.  Neither of those can be said about the Raiders vs ONU. ;D
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

HSCoach,
At least you have some sense.....Ohio Polar Bear was sniffing glue again. I can't wait for the season to start this year. I don't know much about any of the teams, but I'm still going to follow them and pull for CAP!

raiderguy

jdean or anyone,

I saw an article somewhere that said there was a new prospect for Mount by the name of Cortez Jones from Akron Garfield. Any info on this kid? He is from the same school that Chris Wells is from. There wasn't anything stated about him just listed as commiting to MUC.
WELCOME TO THE MACHINE!

Boy thats low. Sure I may have have a different opinion to you but to call someone a gluesnifffer is just wrong.

That says it all

hs coach- I was referring to the CAP ONU game that also was very close. I don't care who was hurt or didn't play well in ONU- MUC. You're best against ours and rc should now que the scoreboard.

Don't know much. He was Div II all-state special mention, played receiver and strong safety.

My eyes aren't very good. What was the score?

I think it's Mount 34-13-1.  ;D

Hey we're lucky they even got a photo of it.  Mount turned that scoreboard off so damn fast after it hit all zeros that the fact they caught a picture of it is amazing in itself.

I know the all-time series is heavily tilted in Mount's favor.  Congrats for that.  It doesn't change the sense of pride I have in the team and staff for being the ones to finally knock off Mount in the OAC.  I wanted someone to do it eventually, and while I always root for the underdog, you better damn well believe I wanted the orange and black to be the ones to put together the necessary gameplan to do it.  And they did.  And I don't think you would be sitting on last year's title without the loss to us and the big push by Capital.

Sorry I couldn't help myself. The series stats in no way diminish ONU's hard fought win. (Engineered by a well trained Mount alumni ::))
