Kelly Boggs informed me awhile back that he heard UMHB would be the home team Saturday. I don't doubt him, just wondered if anyone else heard the same thing.

One of UMU posters called Saturday's game the greatest comeback in program history. I thought it might be. It was certainly impressive.
I intuited UMU fans had made reservations near the Bowl and asked about it. draider answered he had purchased condo or townhome and didn't worry about reservations. No one else answered my question. Someone posted last night they had made reservations before the game Saturday. (playing the odds, not arrogant).
Now... How many of you plan on being buried in your Mount gear? Come on now...

Hadn't given much thought to my burial wardrobe, but yeah, this sounds like a good idea.  Why spend money on a new suit?  (Unless it's a purple suit.)  I do recall one alumnus whose funeral service included a piper playing the Alma Mater.

Another question before we start to ponder who will win Friday. Does anybody know where Mount's 25 point comeback ranks in playoff history? I'm not sure where to even start. I know we have a few very knowledgable people who will either know or can find out. Just curious. Something to talk about that shouldn't start any arguments.

It might be tops.  Wittenberg trailed Heidelberg 28-6 in the first half before rallying to win (and really pull away) in 2012.  UMHB lost a 21-0 lead to Linfield (that was the last time they lost a game).  That was also a first half lead.  Wabash trailed 28-7 in the third quarter against North Central and rallied to win 29-28 in 2011.  As incredible as that comeback was, I'm not sure it beats winning on the road in the semis after trailing 35-10 in the third quarter.  I think Saturday's win is pretty epic even by Mount Union standards.

Well, in his defense most people tuning in thought Mount Union was in trouble at this point.  All you have to do is look back at all the "I didn't watch the 2nd half" stuff on this board to know how bad it looked at that point. 

I'm sorry to say I can't make Salem this year.  But I'll be in Houston next year.  This will be a big, big crowd.  UMHB packed in the fans last year (and were very friendly) and it sounds like all the legendary posters from Mount will be in attendance.  Maybe we can get a post from 4u this week?

Should be a great game.  Mount Union's poise was very impressive; but they looked really out of sorts in the first 35 minutes of the game.

Okay so I've seen multiple posts that UMHB is going to pack Salem stadium, yet last year was the lowest attended stagg bowl since 2009s blizzard altered game. Did Oshkosh just bring nobody last year or are UMHB fans overestimating how well they travel?

I feel like both sides will have large crowds.  It will be loud. 

I'm not sure on the make up... it just seemed to be everywhere I went there were Cru colors.  From the pressbox, the view was UMHB on the other side of the field, so thats what I saw. 

I think you're going to see many Salem first timers, like umhb2001.

If, like me you want to be cremated, doesn't matter what you wear.. As an Air Force vet, would love a flyover with the "missing man formation". Maybe the planes could be purple and white. Just a thought.

The only thing I am positive about is that the radio guys said UMHB is home.  If they are wrong, well...

Over in section13 several fans have made their stagg bowl reservations right from the stands as the play clock expired and Stagg Bowl Stagg Bowl Stagg Bowl chants were occuring. One guy in front of me was on the phone as the game was winding down, so I asked him if he was calling his wife to tell her to start packing. He said he was calling the hotel to reserve a room and would inform the wife next. He even offered to let me use his phone while he had the hotel on the line to make mine. The hotel said the lines were all lit up. Some from other teams cancelling making rooms availabe for the Mount faithful.

as said before, UMHB is the home team and Mount the visiting team.  Mount's social media confirmed this Saturday night/Sunday morning
