You do know that's seventh in the nation, right? I would think the ONU world would be happy with that ranking to start the year?

My mistake Ric.  I thought we were talking OAC Media Day.

Instead I give you kudos and will consider naming my first born Ric (b/c naming him hscoach will just be weird and confusing).
OAC Champs: 1942 (one title ties us with Ohio State)

MOL Champs: 1952, 1950

I read in the paper the other day that the clock is going to be running/started earlier in different situations this year in an effort to speed up games.  Can I be the first to make the obligatory "Bridgewater is going to need to hire a new clock operator" remark?

I think if that remark is to be made it should be reserved for the NJAC board
:D

How about this for good news and bad. Your employer is sending you to Myrtle Beach for a week of golf to entertain a company friend. Now how could there be bad news? Its Saturday, 18th thru 25th of November, the first two games of the playoffs. :P  Now granted, those games usually don't amount to much but I still don't want to miss them.

Regarding the Workman issue, he roomed with a good friend of my sons last year and he lost interest in football and didnt finish the season....unfortunately his roomate is not returning either.

Someone,  please explain to me how you can loose interest in football......that must be an extremely rare condition and there must be a pill you can take....... ;D ;D

footballfan... this isn't losing interest in "football" but I lost interest in the NFL in 1995 when the Browns moved.  Don't get me wrong I still may attend a game or so a year and watch when I can but it is nothing now like it was prior to '95.  Looking back I was obsessed with the NFL and the Browns and you better not bother me on Sunday afternoons in the fall.  Looking back I'm glad all that happened I'd hate to still be that person.

Maybe if college football is tougher than you thought it was, and living away from home for the first time with someone new isnt tough enough, then throw in the pressure of adapting to your new college classes and teachers...... and keep in mind that you are paying for it all with long term debt.....maybe you decide somethings not worth the pressure and decide to let somethings go.  Its not unrealistic for a kid to reevaluate his priorities and transfer to a less high pressure situation with a smaller price tag. I wish Workman well at KSU.

Nice coverage on the coaching staff.

One question? Where did Nick Cirianni go?
I thought he was on the staff last year or did I miss that?

The LB coach from ASVSM might be able to bring some talent along, they usually have a pretty good group as I recall.
WELCOME TO THE MACHINE!

Is Mount looking to build up the basketball program?

Reality Check- I don't know why but it seems you are growing increasingly softer the longer you stay away from Ohio.

footballfan413- Denise Miller????- I always thought she had some funny things to say

Ric- To start the year yes. To finish, no.

Good call.  I just Googed "Nick Sirianni" and the first hit was:

I'm too lazy to go back and see who's bad mouthing Capital, but a certain short guy that never shuts up and I had a rather long discussion leaving Salem last year concerning the ranking of all the teams that Mount played.  OK, he did most of the talking and I acted like I was listening.   But the concensus was that WWW and Capital were easily the best 2.  The thing that put WWW over Cap was their running game.  And anyone with half a brain was hoping for Wabash to beat Capital in Round 2 as Wabash wouldn't have been nearly the battle that we all knew Cap would be.

Capital in 2005 was a very, VERY good team.  And in my not so humble opinion,  better than some of the Stagg Bowl opponents MUC has seen (Lycoming 1997, Trinity 2002 even with Hampton) and better than any of the JCU teams with Arth that pushed MUC to the limit.  Not as physically talented as the ONU teams with Franzer, Robertson and Vagedas but Collins is a much better coach than Kaz.

I think Capital is very much deserving of the OAC #2 and National #5.
