RIP, Coach.  I bet if every coach had even one former player say something like this about them they'd feel proud.

Looks like Luke Poorman started in the scrimmage for UMHB:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wWeitAQ70HY

They had a bye week one.  They play this Saturday.

Hard to gauge since I don't know much about Borregos Monterrey - not just the Rams, but the Wild Rams. The offense looked somewhat predictable.

I was curious about Monterrey so I did some digging. Apparently they are the Mount Union of Mexican football. A million championships, perennial powerhouse etc. Their coach described their level as roughly the equivalent of a solid d2 or an elite D3 by American NCAA standards.

This is true. I also heard, but haven't confirmed, that they get 6 years of eligibility in Mexico too so some of these guys are 23-25 years old.  Interesting for sure.

Must be the Mexican campus of Whitewater. . . .

I heard Rocky Pentello was the QB for Moterrey

That's as easy as they come for Pentello jokes. Yet I still lol'd like always.

Ah good ol' Rocky.
The only NCAA player:
-that tucks his hip pads into his Depends.
-who was denied access to the locker room because he brought his AARP card but forgot his student ID.
- whose water bottle is filled with Ensure
- who sits out the 3rd quarter to catch the early bird special at the local MCL Cafeteria.

And now back to regularly scheduled programming.  ;D

interesting that luke poorman doesn't get the start at mary hardin baylor. another transfer, named hammack, is starting and doing very well. two long TD passes in the first quarter

Heard a little about hammack, he's a d2 transfer who originally went to an FCS school.

Was just about to say this. So he leaves Mount assuming he'll come in top dog and a guy transfers down. That's tough!

HScoach

That's another reason to stay put and fight for playing time
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Mount JV took advantage of the bye week playing today.  The junior Raiders took JCU to the cleaners 56-7.  Hopefully a preview of the game in a couple weeks!

Final

UMHB 91
Albright 7

Caruso thinks UMHB is pathetic. He could've easily found 9 more points to score.
