Sports Center Top 10....#10 Lou Berry!

Nice.

I did not see it on TV, if it was at all, but earlier this morning I checked the ESPN SportsCenter web site and found the solo clip as one of the Plays of the Day:

Like taking candy from a baby!

Berry's steal with 34 secs left makes it 23-10 instead of 16-10.

Statistically the two teams were about even.

Anyone hear any word on Cole Moxie?  It looked like he injured his right hand or arm on the 3rd and 8 pass play with a little less than 2 minutes in the game.  Fulford had problems most of the game with passing accuracy.  On the play that Cole Moxie got hurt D'Angelo threw low and Cole got his hands on the ball but the defenders brought up the play. As Cole ran to the sideline his right arm dangled at his side as he ran to the bench.

I hope he is ok.

In the voice of Bill Belichick:  Upper body injury, will be evaluated on a day to day basis.

(I jest. I have no inside information)

Saw part of the JV game today. Seems they always beat Ashland. Actually, they seem to beat everybody! Good stuff. The future looks good for Mount Union football.
And, as always, I was at the game Saturday, just couldn't respond. I'm too old for that kind of a game. I never minded 50-0 at halftime. I know, Saturday's game was more exciting but........!
Have a good one and Go Raiders! ☠🏈

The leading tackler from UMU Saturday was St. Edward alum Mitch O'Hara and the leading tackler for JCU was fellow St. Edward alum Adam Thompson.

O'Hara actully tied teammate Nick Brish with 9 tackles and had an interception that he returned for 11 yards.

I knew you were going to the game so I tried to look for you at the cafeteria before the game. I tried to find an old Catholic guy that wasn't wearing JCU gear. Once the game started the score was too close to look at my phone.

See, and this is why I think Ashland being rated higher than mount in the Massey ratings is bs.

JCU battled hard Saturday and they ended up staying ranked 15th in the D3 Football Top 25 poll.

"An old Catholic guy not wearing JCU gear?" I love it! That would have probably been me but I quit going to the cafeteria years back. I'll try to catch you at the next home game. Would love to say "Hi"!
Best to ya and Go Raiders! ☠🏈

That's a +k for that one. Definitely an old Catholic guy not wearing JCU gear. Don't think he made the game though. Just as well. Craft might have thought that was me. Best to ya Edward! ☠🏈
