Does the Wilmington College Logo look like a certain hand signal that has made the rounds in the news lately?

Who knew the Quakers were the White Supremacists? *Mind Blown*

White?  Looks green to me.

I don't know. Looks like the hand of a Sid & Marty Krofft character preparing to partake in a bit of recreational pharmaceutical. https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/sid__marty_krofft_3827.jpg

Well, these boards have taken a pretty weird turn since I last checked in.

Moral of the story is..... check in here more often!  ;D

That's putting it mildly, but when you look at who's been chiming in, it's not really all that surprising that things got weird.

Can we get back to football?

I'm expecting a high scoring shoot-out between Heidelberg and Marietta on Saturday. Hopefully the Berg D can come up with a few big stops.

It's going to be a Big 12 battle! The defense that decides to make a few stops should in theory be the deciding factor.

Next week could be the week JCU moves back into the top ten of D3.

If they play up to their expectations and easily handle Capital and UMHB wins impressively over Hardin-Simmons, Whitewater beats Oshkosh, and the winner of the Wesley Frostburg game wins convincingly JCU could move up 3 spots.

Good luck to the streaks this weekend.

I'm sorry, I had to share this.. I was on BW's site because I needed a good laugh and stumbled across their game recap against Mount..

https://www.bwyellowjackets.com/sports/fball/2018-19/releases/mtu

Other than their trying to spin a beatdown into a positive, here is what they wrote..

"BW (2-1, 1-1 OAC), who fell to 35-21-1 in the all-time series, scored the most points in the showdown since the 2011 season.  Mount Union (2-0, 1-0 OAC) has now won 131 straight regular season games.  The last Purple Raider lost on the road during the regular season was to the Yellow Jackets during the 1991 season."

I'm not sure, but I could've sworn another team in Cleveland would disagree with the above...

Between their grammar and history, they are making it easier and easier to ridicule..

Are they saying that's the last time Mount Union lost a regular season game on the road?  That might be true.  I think JCU and ONU both won their regular seasons games against Mount Union in Alliance.  There may be something before 2005 that I'm not going to bother to look up.  Those are the two regular season Mount Union losses that I'm aware of.

But yeah, that's a long and weird way to go to drum up something positive to say in a game recap.

JCU and ONU both won in Alliance, so in theory that could be what they are saying.. The problem is the sentence by itself is "Mount Union (2-0, 1-0 OAC) has now won 131 straight regular season games." There is no link to the next sentence that would make the reader think that it's regarding a road loss, and vice versa..

Maybe this is my "I hate BW" in me, but it's either terribly awkward or horrendously inaccurate.. Oh and who wears Brown and Yellow???

Anybody watch the post-game press conference following the game (link on same web page)??  Not sure I've ever seen "coachspeak" used more often......."if's and but's were candy and nuts, it would be Christmas every day."

The "if you take away those 21 points and a couple blown coverages" line was a strong start.  Why stop there?  Take away Mount too.  If you replaced them with Berea-Midpark AND eliminated every mistake you made the score would have been much different for certain.

I'm guessing with a player on each side of him during the PC (and not looking very happy, by the way) Coach was pretty-much required to play the "if and but" game.  You don't want to sit with your players and talk about how you were monkey-stomped for three quarters.

In fairness, BW was probably one lucky break away from winning that game.........if one considers Mount Union's buses spontaneously combusting on the way to Berea a "lucky break"
