There's no clock in Division III -- you have 10 semesters of full-time enrollment for four years of eligibility, but you can use those four years (and that enrollment) whenever.

So Luke Poorman could sit out 2019 and play for Mount Union in 2020?

Cool!

He could sit out 2019-2025 and play football for someone in Division III in 2026, presuming the rules aren't changed between now and then.

Going stag. No one will go with me. I'll be in the covered stands, Section 3 Row G Seat 13. I'll be easy to spot - ruggedly handsome and built like a Greek God. I obviously intimidate women because of those features. Oh, just kidding. (See signature below). Go Raiders! ☠🏈

Great, now people are going to mistake me for you! >:(

I feel terrible. I hope you aren't mistaken for me. It's tough when there's two of us that look like that.
Maybe we could do a picture together. Would that help?
But all seriousness aside, that comment was a riot! Gave ya a +k. Would give more than that right now but can't. Will you be at the game? Go Raiders! ☠🏈

Or he could play all those years, using the Rocky Pentello exception.

Ok I am invoking Rule number 206.2-II(a) "Once a reference is made to Rocky Pentello's unparalleled NCAA longevity, the conversation shall cease".  ;D

I am watching the replay of last years Stagg Bowl because - well because I want to. In the 1st quarter the announcers mention that Charlie Dear was unable to play. Does anyone know why Dear didn't play? Just curious since after the UWO game he was running around on the field celebrating and he is on the field for the post game celebration for the Stagg. He didn't appear injured. Just curious.

MUC57 and rscl70 are twins. They can go to games as a pair of Popes.

Dr. Acula

I'll tell you what, I like this Barrett kid at QB for Wilm.  He's just a soph.  They should win a few games the next couple of years.

Desertraider

Marietta downs Heidi 38-34. Etta is 5-0. Figure Wilma next week pushes them to 6-0 an then the fun part of the schedule begins.

Regardless of the score, I saw some real growth in the Wilmington program.  Mount got a couple gifts, and Wilmington did some very positive things that should give them some hope for the future.  For a program that has been down and counted out a couple times, I think they are on the road to respectability.  Only one or two seniors on the starting O and the soph QB showed some stones.

Dr. Acula

^^^  Agreed.  I watched a lot of the game and they did some positive things, especially moving the ball offensively.  I looked it up because he looked big...Barrett is 6'4", 200 lbs.  He looked pretty athletic too.  The radio guys said 86% of their roster is fresh/soph.  And they were playing a ton of those young guys.  All 3 WR I saw catch passes are freshmen.  If they can retain those kids they're going to grow up, develop and be competitive in the not too distant future.

St. Glenn is BACK!! Up 73-14 in the 4th qtr with 4:11 on the clock the Tommies....GO FOR for 2! The attempt failed because God stepped in and asked "Seriously?"

I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

I agree Wilmington is better and their QB and receivers did well under the circumstances. Their young men also played with a lot of class.

It was a team rule violation. Too bad you won't hear that from the "Mount doesn't take punishments seriously" crowd. Dear played great against UWO and UMU still say him for the championship.

Wilmington definitely looks like their taking great strides as a program. JCU did what I thought they'd do, surprised it was a shutout though. Marietta is there story of the season in the OAC. They just keep getting the job done.
