Smart kid: After two straight losing plays for Mount, the color man on the WRMU broadcast stated that they do that on purpose so that they can throw the long one. And sure enough, D'Angelo threw a long TD on the next play.
Never underestimate the stimulation of eccentricity.

Etta is up 21-7 at half against BW.

Wow.  Maybe their showing against JCU wasn't as fluky as we thought
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

Congrats to Matt Campbell and the Cyclones.  Late safety leads to win over Texas Tech.

Hopefully he's the next coach in Columbus.  Soon.

Marietta up 1.  1:10 left.  BW ball on their own 20

Etta snatches defeat from the jaws of victory.   Misses chip shot FG to go up by 4, then plays very conservative on D rushing only 3 and watches BW go length of field to kick a 42 yd field goal as time expires.

Oh, no!  Best 3-quarter team in the OAC!
Never underestimate the stimulation of eccentricity.

Watched Marietta blow two games in a row in the final minutes  ;D  Was rooting for them to be undefeated for their week-10 game against Mount.

I do not like their football field, the gray colorless turf combined with their blue-gray uniforms and the opponent's white unis makes the video feed look like a black and white broadcast

Wait a minute. Just . . . wait a minute.

If you're talking solely about on the field performance, why would you believe that Matt Campbell would have better results that Urban Meyer?  Urban Meyer is one of the greatest coaches in college football history and there is little reason to believe he's well past his prime.

If you're talking about off-the-field problems, we simply do not know how successfully Matt Campbell would handle the insane responsibilities and problems at one of the biggest programs in the country.  He's never had to handle entitled athletes at a place like OSU; he's never had to handle entitled boosters with monstrously golden handshakes at a place like OSU.  Sure, he MIGHT do great.  But do you want to bet on four national championships in the bush as opposed to Meyer's three national championships in the hand?

Hey - I'm a big-time Matt Campbell fan like everybody else here, and if he's hired at Ohio State I'll be rooting for him like crazy.  But dump Urban Freakin' Meyer for Matt Campbell?  That would be a pretty damn big leap of faith.  I'm not a fisherman but I've read the following on any number of occasions:  "Don't LEAVE fish to FIND fish."

Well, that's my story and I'm . . . stuck with it.

Don't think anyone here thinks Campbell is a better coach than Urban, I think everyone's just hoping a Mount guy will get the chance to lead the biggest college football program in the country.

   You mentioned Urban so I thought the discussion was about OSU, not Alabama.  ;D

I just read a tweet from yesterday from Jeff Zup.  D'Angelo Fulford in his last two road games is 32 of 37, 608 yards, and 13 passing TD's.  I know we have to consider the competition, but that is some insanely great QB play!  I have noticed (from afar as I haven't watched the last few games that closely) that Fulford seems to be more ready to run recently, which I think has opened up the passing game, and even Petro a bit more.

All time passing TD leaders
Borchert = 189
Burke = 134
Ballard = 118
Smeck = 109
Fulford = 83

Now that is good company!

I agree in that I don't think anyone thinks Campbell has a better overall coaching record than Urban or thinks Campbell has been able to recruit 5 star players better than Urban.  However as far as Campbell currently being a better football coach on game than Urban there probably are more than a few that would sided with Campbell on this comparison.  Which is why Matt Campbell's name comes up often in discussions on up and coming strong candidates for head football coaching positions.
