That's because they all run a 4.3....

Quick overview of CU,  the defense is not very big but they are strong and very fast.  On the other side, Rocky will always have plenty of talent to throw the ball to and Mulkey may be the best running back Cap has had in a long time.

Looking forward to another great year in the OAC!

I hope you're right! but I think a lot of Cap fans are taking for granted the skilled players on O who graduated, those guys made some big plays.  No doubt the talent is there but graduating all starting wr's, the rb and te always leaves room for concern.

reality check

First round of cuts and Jamal is still on the roster in Carolina.  No RB's were waived in the first round so 6 RB's remain on the roster.  Someone will be going home.  I just hope Jamal has done enough with his KR's and sample of carries to stick around again.

Just a heads up for the pick'em guys, Wittenberg will be starting a true freshman QB against Capital. A really good freshman QB, but still....

I went ahead and took Witt with the ponits, 'cause at the time  thought they'd man up and not get blown out, but if I could change my mind I would!

As an economics teacher I think that the Panthers brass has to look at Jamal Robertson as a cheaper alternative or substitute who can bring to the table just as much as Shelton does.  However, Shelton is a 2nd round pick and the Panthers may want to see a little more of him.  You can afford to take a flier on him as your 5th RB(fullbacks included).  I can't really get an accurate read from the Charlotte media as to what they think will happen.  Emailed the local Panthers beat writer about what he thought but he never returned my email.  Jerk.

ELee,
He probably didn't respond to you because he figured you should be focusing more on your season and teaching instead of writing reporters! Get to work! Matt Co taught you better than that! ha

On a side not, Matt Collins is back in Columbus, so I'd look for him to join a staff in the area soon.

I heard ONU had a scrimmage this evening vs. Adrian...is this correct??  Where you at RC to confirm??

reality check

I do know they scrimmaged Adrian today/tonight but that's all I know honestly.  I have to count on the one or two lurkers when it comes to camps.

I'm just excited about stopping in Ada when I'm in Ohio next week.

Hurricane Ernesto is bringing LOTS of rain to Averett and some may still be there Saturday. The field at Averett got pounded last year in a mudbowl - there was only like 25% of the field that had grass on it. Not sure if that is a sign of a bad field or not. How would a mudbowl change the game?
To all newbies - don't run your mouth until the team you're pulling for wins the big game. (please refer to Eh-You's karma for more details)

Ask St. Johns what happened at the Mudbowl in Alliance in the Semifinals of 1993.   :D
