Getting ready to go to BWW to watch the game. It's only 5 blocks from where I live so it's not like a major drive or anything. Been waiting for this since last years Stagg Bowl! Mount certainly has the coaching and the athletes to win this game. We all know that. The onus is on them to execute the game plan as it was drawn up. Adjustments where necessary, substitutions as required and a fight to the end mentality. Get 'em Mount Union.

GO RAIDERS!  ;D.       GO RAIDERS  ;D      GO RAIDERS  ;D
I'm old! I get mixed up and I forget things! Go Everybody! 🏈 ☠

They switched the show to Facebook live, so if you were waiting with the YouTube up on your Chromecast like I was, go back to d3football.com or to Facebook

My assumption is the "slim left town" comment was Edward de Vere feeling there was no chance for Mt to have a running back go 30 carries for 220 yards- like Nemeth did in 2015.

I posted rushing stats from recent big games against the UMHB defense. Every game shows average per carry of 4 yards or greater.
The point? Is it possible too much credit is given to UMHB's smothering defense?

I did not think of it like that, and with the threat of Fulford being able to pull it down occasionally (like last year), there may be some yards on the ground to be had. Could it be the case that a couple big runs bump up the average, but then the defense stiffens and gives up little else? Like Adrian Peterson's game against the Eagles, where he ripped off 1 for 90 and then 8 others for 8 yards...

I figured dominant was 5+ yards-per-carry (or Nemeth's 7+).

Both WR Jared Ruth and TE Cole Moxie are warming up for Mount Union.

UMHB QB DeNerian Thomas is in street clothes

Tom Arth is headed to Akron.  Godspeed.

I feel good for some reason.... Could be the cold beverages.... But I feel confident we can run enough and stretch the UMHB defense to score. Giving up a 4 ypc isn't amazing, so they can be run on. What makes me feel better is knowing that they don't have a mobile QB available. Thomas is who scared me bc of his scrabbling ability...Hammack is tough, but I think our D can bottle him up and keep Miller under control.

Another little thing that I like is a big UMHB crowd. I know it sounds weird, but I think Mount plays better in hostile environments.

Roll Raiders!!!! Here we go!!!!

Huuuuuge stop!!! Way to go D. Now Snyder needs to forget that punt and play.

hsbsballcoach7

Nice confidence boost. Defense holds on missed kick, and offense moves ball well and makes kick.

This is the first time in the 2018 season that UMHB has trailed in a game.

hsbsballcoach7

Like I said....Hammack doesn't run the read option like Thomas.

Craft_Beermeister

Fulford playing through the pain.

hsbsballcoach7

Fulford looking focused and decisive. What we need out of him... Just don't like the sideshow of trying to get in UMHB players faces. No need to get their juices going.

Mr. Ypsi

While I'm well aware that no one has ever gotten rich betting against The Machine, I confess I was one of the folks voting "UMHB by 10 or more" on the front-page survey.  With Ruth and Moxie both starting, and Thomas not, I'm now leaning towards you guys getting #14.

Which might be just as well - if UMHB ever increases their stranglehold on D3 recruiting in talent-rich Texas, they might become the overlords of D3 that even UMU never imagined! :o
