Can't figure out why you would go to our 2006 Otterbein page, then click on 2006 a second time to get to that flawed page, but OK, looks like you found a bug we need to fix.

Sorry, its not the page that was linked here earlier, but I know enough about computers I should have double checked that.

Uh, maybe I'm flipping back and forth between teams and previous years getting ready for next week's Pick-Em's? ;D

Is there a preseason poll for the OAC? I was looking on the conference website, and I can't find one.

I did find this in the conference football preview though:

ONU returners... Offense 2, Defense 3.

Ouch. Obviously, I'm sure that's been discussed here, but I thought it was funny. That may be the worst I've ever seen. Probably won't have to worry about losing out on the C bid despite being MUC this year!  :D

I know it's a slow week around the OAC, but please don't forget to post your picks.

I was again reminded last night of how Coach Ancona felt his first few years at Capital when we got beat by John Carroll.  Lost a JV game to the school I used to teach at last night, 20-0.  Hopefully we can turn it around tonight for the varsity game and get the W.

I just needed to post something to get teh OAC from the bottom.

Wow.  You've really elevated your game to include an entire sentence.  The old you would have just posted "TEST".

Given the number of P-Bears on this board, one would think at least one of them would be excited about tomorrow. I realize RC is in transit to his new digs but come on guys. Maybe they're all headed west for the game ::)

I'm still getting all the football I can get my hands on while I'm in Ohio.  I watched my high school team win big at Roger Bacon last night down in Cincy.  I am at my mom and dad's place right now logged onto their ancient dialup following the Bears.

ONU leads 21-0 in the 3rd.  From what I can tell they could be up another 2-3 scores as they have fumbled away two long drives and thrown one INT.  Millikin has 7 punts and a turnover on downs so far.  The Big Blue has only gotten 43 yards of total offense so far.

Augustana was losing to BW 17-7 last I saw.
Dayton and Wittenberg is a lot closer than I thought it would be too.

Slow day but any day with football is a great day in my book.

Well, now Millikin has a score, and was right outside the ONU goalline on an earlier drive after blocking an ONU punt. The ONU offense has been 3 and out on the last two drives... The beginning of the game sounded more like a predictable OAC top team vs a CCIW bottomdweller finish... but now it's looking just a teensy bit more interesting.

Would ONU have gone deep in the depth chart on just a 2-3 TD lead?

RC, you old bear, you!
With MUC not playing, I had interest in several games today, but not at the TOTAL expense of, perhaps, the last weekend to work on my tan!  No liquid stimulant ... need to stay focused for tonight's Buckeye's game.  (My idiot boss is a UT grad, and at the game.)
Been following the Pooh-bears on the live stats link.  Had a 231-14 total offense advantage at the half, but only a 14-0 lead.  Was wondering...
OAC is looking to be 7-2 in opening games so far ... no word on Heidi-Oberlin.  At least one of the two OAC "lower tier" teams that lost, so far, at least lost to a 2005 playoff team!
RC - I am at home, on vacation this week.  The "Welcome" mat is out.  No Fricker's, but a Hooter's, BWW, and a WingStop (Troy Aikman is their spokesman).
Cheers!

28-14 final at Millikin.

Sloppy first game from what I can tell but Meadows looks to have picked up right where he left off: 17 carries for 182 yards and 3 TD's.

3 TO's on the day for the Bears, all were deep in Millikin territory (21, 13 and 8 yard lines).  That will no doubt be a point of focus back in Ada.

Defense held Millikin's big running back to just 74 yards on 19 carries and gave up 94 through the air to the QB.  All totalled they outnumbered the Big Blue 355-166 in total offense.

Both of Millikin's scores came in the 4th.  The one's seemed to have stayed in throughout so that last score can't be pinned on backups.  This game ended up a 14 point spread but should have been 28-35 points had the offense not given the ball away three times in the first half.

Jason Trusnik looks to be right back where he was before the foot injury: 1 sack and 3.5 TFL.

BillyRay

I'd love to swing by but I think I'm going to be driving well north of you.  If that changes, I'll try to get a hold of you and see what can be done.  I leave Ohio in the morning and plan on being in AZ by Tuesday evening.
