BWDE97

BW has always been a top tier team, is it that hard to believe that they could be back on top? Last year was a tough one, in part because we had no offensive direction.  No more Danny Boy meant no more successful series' of run right, run right, run left, fake option pass, touchdown!  I think that now with a separate offensive coordinator, BW's offense will be more potent and less predictable.  The defense has always been the stronghold, and that hasn't changed.  They could play the Auggies 20 more times and probably win the majority of them. Of course I am bias, but time will tell my friends.

That [team nickname and school allowing that] indeed is disgusting. :o
I have always been somewhat surprised at what girl's teams might want to name themselves.  My two girls were my "athletes."  (They are actually women now ... 19 and nearly 25 years old ... college student and 1Lt in the Air Force.  My son peaked later ... now in training with the Secret Service, Uniformed Division.  Yeah ... I am proud and bragging.)
Anyhoo...  When my oldest daughter was playing summer select-team softball in the 11-12 year old age group, it took the parents to override their choice of a team name ... the "Rump-shakers."  It had to do with some song, I guess.

RE: Intramural Nicknames

I have to admit my Intramural Softball Team in college was the "UFAs".  United F***ing A**Holes.  But we didn't go by our full name.  A professor asked what it stood for and we told him that we all used to have aspirations to become Pilots and it stood for United Federal Aviators.

I am watching the Kansas/Toledo Game and this must be a record for the two fattest Head Coaches facing each other in a game.

Mark Mangino and Tom Amstutz both gotta be over 350 lbs. each.

We were watching the game at a neighbor's house, and the concensus was that they looked like two manatees wearing Nike!
