will st Thomas offer scholarships or wil they be like a butler or something?
TBD. Possibilities for the Pioneer League with Butler which is non-scholarship or otherwise the MVFC which is full scholarship FCS.

For the second week in a row Mount Union quarterback D'Angelo Fulford has the nations highest quarterback rating.
For the third week in a row he leads DIII in passing efficiency.

And for what seems like the bazillionth week in a row, Purple has a borderline creepy man crush on D'Angelo Fulford

MUC57 - Praying for you and a quick recovery.

Thinking about the disparity between football schools in D3, I wonder if having 250 schools is part of the problem.  Outside of the current top 4 teams in the country, I believe that there are 100+ schools that have good support for their football programs.  Schools like Cortland, Ithaca, Wesley,  Muhlenberg, Rowan, NCC, Wheaton, Wabash, Wittenberg, W&J, CWRU, and many more are certainly supportive and have found ways to recruit football players.  Roster sizes are probably diminished due to available HS players being diminished, but I think many schools are finding ways and reasons to continue their programs.

In the D3.com Kickoff this year they mentioned that of the 32 teams that made the playoffs last year, 16 of them were returning and 16 of them were new.  They expect there to be 16 teams this year new, that did not make it last year.  I think that says something about the parity that is happening now.  There are also new schools finding success like Aurora, Denison, Susquehanna, Misercordia, Grove City, Bridgewater, Averett, and Union.

Some of these up and comers may not beat the top, but as they have shown, can certainly give them a game and that keeps kids coming back.  They want to win.  They want to win for their school.  Their school wants to win.

Capital, Hiram, McMurry and North Park may not be winning now, but I assure that they want to win, and will keep trying as long as they can.  All obstacles aside, they'll keep trying.
