We all knew Mount's secondary was a weak point, but I do not think we had any idea it would be complete and total liability.

Gotta give some props to the #1 offense in the country no?

Hats off to North Central, they embarrassed Mount's defense. It's been quite awhile since the Raiders have been bounced Thanksgiving weekend.

But, also, watching the last quarter, the offensive blocking was not great.

It wasn't, either. I was surprised Fulford didn't pull it down a few more times on those last drives. Better to get 4 or 5 than an incompletion or a sack.

The rest of the D3 world is going to have a field day with this one. Joy... Even our guys on here, who avoid talking about Mount as much as possible, are going to be talking about nothing but Mount given that they have failed.

Did you miss my "GG North Central" earlier? Additionally, if you have followed the OAC boards the past few years, there has been significant chatter that Mount's secondary was susceptible to a day like this. The only surprise was that it was this bad, not that NCC's O was able to pull it off.

According to the quick summary on d3fb, first time since 1994 that the Raiders didn't make it at least as far as the semis.

I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

It was an entertaining game to say the least & props to NCC.  Most has been said already but I too was very frustrated with the 3 man rush and hardly ever any pressure.  Do something different because whatever THAT was really wasn't working.

Weird for Mount to be out in the 2nd round.  It does solve some holiday dilemmas for me.

Wheaton beat NCC in large part because they didn't let Rutter get set, and put him on his back 7 times. Give him time and he'll pick you apart - obviously.

Well most D3ers knew it would be a tough game, but I'm just used to Mount pulling it out. We can wish changes were made, but we can't take things back. We Mount fans need to enjoy this run while we have it bc it could be over at any time. I wish more people in the area supported them at games.

NCC has a great offense and made some great adjustments that Mount didn't. I hope they push on and continue a good run.

I'm still excited for the future if Mount Union football, it's just going to be a couple of extra weeks of thinking than normal this off season.

A lot of us were saying that during the game, too. If the Raiders were going to beaten like thieves over the middle, anyway, might as well try to disrupt Rutter, at least.

That was Bethel's formula last year too. Bringing pressure is your only hope. He's too surgical otherwise.

So much offensive firepower in this one on both sides.

Congratulations to Mt on the season and an incredible run of semi-final appearances. This game was worthy of third or fourth round.

To the credit of Mt, there was never a moment when we weren't totally confident Mt would come back. To NCC's credit, they made the plays when they had to.
Great game.

The streak of semifinal appearances is incredible and hard to imagine ever being repeated.

Mount fans, good luck this playoff run. It still stings being 9-1 and left home, but based on the metrics, I understand why... With that, I hope you all win every game in route to championship by more than 25 pts. each game..

If you can beat everyone by more than what you beat us by, I am going to Self Claim JCU as the Number 2 team in the country.... Obviously the end of the year poll will not correspond with my proclamation, but since we will have had only the one loss to you, and then a closer margin than everyone else, I'll claim it..

Just my own hope to salvage the season.. Good luck!

I suspect that if that happens, JCU will fare pretty well in the final ranking.

Well Pat, I'm going to hold you to it! And I give you permission to discuss this topic on the Podcast! lol But seriously, great work on the Podcast, I enjoy listening to you and Keith every Monday and Friday when I am on my way to Sales calls... Quite honestly, my drive to sales meetings are not as enjoyable in the off-season for that matter.

Gonna have to be 1) NCC, 2) UMU, 3) JCU now. 😛

Wow those wrs should be arrested for man slaughter on our secondary.  I thought j hill was the best in d3.  11 of n-c said hold my beer.  Wow. After seeing this game, Wheaton may give umhb a game.  Good season tho.   The underclass man will get bigger . They'll probably be in the weight room tomorrow AM training for next season. Plunk and ruby playn catch.  Excited for next year already. Ruby may be our #1 next year.
