Got a chance to talk to QB12 over the weekend.  He is pursuing his dream to continue to play football.  Signed with an agent & will start workouts to get ready for pro-day, combines, etc.  Best of luck to the young man!

Best of luck to him, don't really see where he fits at the next level though.

As for Hill, any rumors? Hoping he gets a combine invite. Im assuming he will get drafted, but it has been a few years since Cecil. Tough to say.

ESPN ran a list of the 150 greatest coaches in college football history:

https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/page/CFB150coaches/the-150-greatest-coaches-college-football-150-year-history

Larry Kehres came in at 28. Seems a little low, considering he has the highest win percentage at any level of college football in history, but he was probably dinged for "only" being a DIII coach.

Still, cool to see some recognition for DIII football!

Thanks for the link. It is nice to see Dlll get a "little" recognition.

Rumors on Hill are somewhere between 5-7.  There were scouts at multiple games so I hope that is a good sign.

How about Urban at 46??  That's laughable.  He's ranked behind Frank Beamer for crying out loud.

Gagliardi at #16.

Winning is winning at any level, and it's a shame to think that they'd get dinged for "only" being a D3 coach, but I am sure that's the case.  I have to believe that guys like LK, Gagliardi, etc. would have been successful at any level.

Thanks for pointing out John at #16. You're absolutely right. John and LK, and probably some others, would have made it at any level.
Damn, I love Dlll football!
And to you sir, a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Go Johnnies! ✝ 🎄 🍾 😀

Bringing this here, but Coach Swider from Wheaton, had decided to retire. What a great career he had and sustained success and left Wheaton at a championship level. Congrats Coach!

This bit of information that you got from the article is wrong.  Larry Kehres does not have the highest winning percentage in NCAA football history at 92.9%.  That honor would belong to Vince Kenres who at 95-6 has a winning percentage of slightly above 94%.  ;D

I found Coach Swider, when he visited Mount Union, to be a fine gentleman.  I wish him the best in retirement.  College football needs men like this coach, and he will be missed.

I agree 100%.  I always liked how he coached and his teams played.  By far my favorite of opposing HC's.  Class act.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

Do you mean you like Swider better than, say, K C. Keeler?
Just a little midweek humor.
Coach Swider certainly sounds like a man for all seasons. I wish him the best.  ;D

I'm surprised there hasn't been any discussion on the D3Football All Region Teams:

I looked at the North and thought it looked right IMO.  I liked that Beebe won COY.  On the Mount front, Hill was 1st team as he should be.  I was fine with Rutter over Fulford and Greenfield/Minton over Petro for 1st team.  The NCC guys are studs and Minton is a Gagliardi semifinalist and was NCAC POY.  4 of the OL made All-Region which was nice recognition of a strong unit.  And defensively they only had 2 mentions, which given what we know now, seems about right.  You knew Ford would make it for sure after winning an OAC special award.  Beyond that I wasn't sure about anyone else making it on there.
