OAC releases Spring Schedules for fall Sports:

https://oac.prestosports.com/MISC/COVID-19_2020/Fall_sports_springs_schedules

East Division:
BWU
JCU
Marietta
Mount
Muskingum

West Division:
Capital
Heidelberg
ONU
Otterbein
Wilmington

Four game schedule (play division teams)

Then 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, 4v4 5v5

I know these divisions are purely geographic, but they are horrifically unbalanced lol
As long as the west #1 doesn't try and claim OAC runner up....

Streak

What? I know what you're saying! At least we have purple and white fire hydrants. I bet you don't. I think JCU has the record for most times being number two (2), most consecutive times at number two (2), most times being number two (2) to the same team, most times being  number two(2) at the other team's site, etc., etc., etc.
How have you been my friend? How's little brother? Hope all is well with you both!
Go Raiders! Go Blue Streaks! See you in March. 🏈 🍺 😷 😎

Laughably unbalanced.  But as a fan I think any BW/JCU/Mount fan would say give me the other two in our trio and any other quality game on top of that  is icing on the cake.  IMO those are not only the best games, but also the true rivalry games for all 3 schools.

All HS fall sports are a go per DeWine.  Fingers crossed that this goes well.  It'd be great for the kids to get to play and it'd be nice for all of us to have more sports to watch.

Really?  Let's hope the parents/schools/medical officials have more control at the HS level than they do at the colleges.  I am just not seeing it being a realistic scenario moving forward.  They can't "bubble" these kids which is what it would take.

Since we don't have football to look forward to till the spring, let's all take a second to laugh at this little contradiction from BW's website:

Most Wins in the OAC
On the field, BW has a rich, winning tradition. In the 113-year history of football at the University, the Yellow Jackets have compiled an all-time record of 590-345-30 - good for a .647 winning percentage. The 590 wins are the second most of any current OAC-member school.

Well, I am guessing most of Baldwin Wallace's wins are in OAC games ... so it totally tracks. :)

Well, Mount Union started classes today on the "hybrid scheme". It'll be interesting to see how it works out. Let' hope for the best and for everyone around the country.

Go Everybody! 🎓 😷

Hope started last week with all on-campus classes (no hybrid except for only a handful as noted below) and so far doing good. Only 9 positive tests out of the entire student enrollment and most of those were even before they arrived on campus, so they are quarantining at home, the other few quarantined on camous in the designated quarantine dorm.

We did football physicals last week (and for other sports) and spring turned to now fall practice begins today. We'll see how this plays out. Still no new "inside" word on the Adrian and Trine mutineers supposed fall game season process since Pat and Keith's podcast.

Caught the end of the Alliance High School vs Marlington High School football game played earlier today at Mount Union Stadium. It was suspended last night because of the storm.
Still don't understand why colleges won't play but the high schools, at least in Ohio, have no problem playing. Of course, certain protocols are being followed.
Maybe there's hope for us yet! 🏈 😷 😄

Well, MUC57 my friend, that, indeed, remains to be seen. According to today's reports, Ohio is ong some states currently experiencing the fastest and highest increases of daily cases among states, including now surpassing Michigan. Like you,  I hope that football games can continue, but...I am just not sure what may happen. If the trend continues, I believe we'll see it having a big chance of being shut down. And if that occurs, I don't see the Big Ten doing a late start football season around Thamksgiving as some unsubstamtiated reports have claimed yesyerday and today. Plus, we are 4 weeks away from the dreaded fall/winter season of more frequent airborne disease transmission transmission. Some good news is that several reports this morning relate very good progress on the in process of development of several vaccines for this situation.

Hi Doc

Yuck! I didn't know Ohio was so bad. I do follow the covid-19 stats but not how they compare with other states. However; do appreciate the info.
Still don't understand why it's :colleges "no", high schools "yes". What's wrong with this picture?
Stay well. 😷 🏈

Oh, by the way. Tonight, on the Internet, I get to watch the 1987 Mount Union - Heidelberg game. Yawn! HELP! 🍺 🍺 🛌

Hello MUC,

No problem. I'm just trying to help keep everyone informed and updated about various medical articles I receive and read everyday concerning current status of this coronavirus situation, which still continues to change on a daily basis.
Football practices went well this week at Hope. Social distancing even during blocking drills on the blocking machines. Talk about line splits! Reminds me of how we had those wide splits at Hope back in my day-seemed (almost) like the entire width of the field was taken up by our offensive alignments!

Anyway, I hope you are doing well.
