Oh no! Another classless, unsportsman like showing by Mount. Despite all those fumbles we still should have kicked field goals or just punted. What can we do about this Mount team? Is there any way we can keep this away from the media?  ;)

I'm just providing an accurate report of what I've seen in a t-shirt and shorts.

OU25, I would be careful were you go with that statement.....lol!!

I am assuming Jorris came out in the 1st b/c of the lopsided score, and not b/c he got injured???  Can anyone confirm this.....

No word on an injury, but I would assume so.

23-9 Polar Bears win.  Almost as importantly, ONU missed HSCoach's spred by .5 point and I guessed right for a change.

Glad you have your priorities in order!

To my knowledge neither Garcon nor Jorris was injured.  I was at the game and the reason their stats seem unorthodoxly low is because of the unbelievably great field position they were blessed with today.  With the Muskies turning it over almost every time they had the ball, Mount never had to drive the length of the field in the 1st quarter. Thus the 42 points in the quarter, the low numbers for the starters and the reason they were pulled midway through the second quarter.  Another reason they were pulled so early was because one of the starting offensive lineman went down with an injury and with the score the way it was Coach Kehres obviously felt that was a good time to pull the starters.
The impossible CAN happen and eventually it WILL happen.

MountRaider

which one of the o-lineman got hurt?

HScoach

LT - Josh Henniger

Geoff Dartt has also been lost for the season.   Not a good start health wise for the Raider O-line.

FYI, the pick-em's results and spreads for week 5 have been posted.

Do you know what the injuries are, and what the time table for henniger is?

Possible ACL for Josh, not sure though, but either way looks like he will be lost for some time.

I see that Ashland lost to some school I  never heard of this week.  Owens ought to bring his team to Mt. for a season opener .  If nothing else to let him know whether his program is competitive  at  the DII level.   If he can win at Alliance,  he is off to a good start. 8)

reality check

Just checked up on the Division III record book and saw a couple OAC'ers on the front page of this year's book.  Maybe someone else can confirm but I believe Mike Jorris and possibly one of the Capital Crusaders are on the front cover amongst others.

After this week's game in University Heights, Jason Trusnik sits at 36.5 career sacks and 75.0 tackles for loss.  He needs 12.5 sacks to break the all-time record.  It's going to be a tough number to reach but he's capable of getting there.

After seeing how inept Muskingum is, I'm surprised Trusnik didn't reach the record against the Muskies alone.

Honestly, I would expect Trusnik to have a legit shot at that record after looking at the rest of ONU's schedule.  He has 7 games left so it's less than 2 per game and Otterbein, Capital and MUC will all throw the ball a ton so there are plenty of chances.  Plus factoring in how bad Wilma and Berg are, and you might have almost a guarantee that he makes it.

Genius Gone Bad

I'll have to say I'm looking forward to the air show between Capital vs Marrieta.  The 2 best QB's in the OAC face off it should be a high scoring game.  I never thought I'd see the day I'd look foward to seeing the Pioneers play a game .  Boy has time changed

Are the 2 best QB's really squaring off??  The last time someone made that statement that wasn't a MUC fan was JC, and let's just say Phillip's did not have his best day of the year that game.  Is Vrable really that good where you can make the statement he is better than Jorris, Quirk, and Stelzer??  I believe Otterbein beat you, correct??
