Good crowd at Lenny's calling hours tonight.  Lots of coaches, staff,  and lots of faculty. He was truly a big part of Mount Union.  He is missed!  Blessings to his wife and daughter--I can't imagine what they are going through.  I wish I could go to the funeral tomorrow, but, alas, it is not to be.

Rest in peace Lenny.  I will miss having a beer and eating wings with you on the nights before the semi-finals.

Not a lot to take away from the Wilmington game. I truly feel life the defense has improved lots in the last 2 years. Plunk kissed some very open opportunities, but they won big. It could be worse....like UWW losing. One more loss and they could be out. Crazy year in D3!

better and more consistent effort from the Raiders yesterday than @Capital.  Really shaping up for an OAC title game in Alliance on Nov 5th, perhaps another the next week if BW beats Berg in two weeks.

Also, big win for Defiance on Saturday.  With a couple of 1-6 and 0-7 opponents to finish the season, maybe the Yellow Jackets' hit to Mount's SOS won't be quite as terrible as expected

Did not see or monitor the game, was in Columbus for OHIO State vs. Iowa. Agree from reading the summary, a better
game for the Raiders.

Regarding JCU on 11-5-22. Should be a good game, but the Raiders have too much offense for the JCU defense. I am really
pleased to see the Raider defense improve. The good news is the Raiders will have two games to end the season that will
test them and help in the playoffs, assuming they get there. :o

looks like the D3 record for TD receptions in a season is 31* (thanks to Pat for the update)  Ruby has 18 TD through 7 games, pretty safe to say that the record is in serious jeopardy.  The Mount record is 23 (C. Shorts/J. Hill) will likely fall in the regular season.  truely is Wayne's World

He needs 16 more to break Cecil Shorts III's career touchdowns record. Not out of reach with a bit of a playoff run.

too save the BW fans from taking off their shoes and sock, that would be 34 TD's...which would be insane and knocking on the door of an all-division record

D-III single-season record is the 31 that Andrew Kamienski had for North Central in 2019.

Not football related, but just wanted to mention that Mount is ranked #7 in the D3hoops preseason top 25 poll.  For anyone so inclined they open at home the weekend of 11/11-11/12.  They should be fun to watch this year.

The starters played longer in this game despite the sizable lead. Were they working on something for next week, or just getting ready for the playoffs?
