Touchdown Pierre.  No, it's called back for holding.

Is anyone able to get the ONU broadcast?

I keep getting an error message from Real Player.

BillyRayJimBob

I thought I heard them say that Jorris actually threw a block that allowed Garcon to "leap" into the end zone.  Don't often hear of the QB throwing a block downfield.  Garcon's cutback from near-sideline to far sideline gave Jorris time to be downfield, I guess.

Go to www.wobn.net.
Found that through the Otterbein College web site.  It is working.

BillyRayJimBob

Ohio Northern web site also has game stats ... 3-0 in favor of ONU in the 2nd Quarter.

BillyRayJimBob

Ohio Northern is on top, 10-0.
I have only been following the live stats, but a back-up ONU QB has out-passed Quirk 86-34, but Quirk is back in now.  Don't believe they would be platooning.  Could have been a momentary injury?

Where is Reality Check???  The wife have him out shopping for draperies, bedspreads, and matching tea cozzies for the new residence?

reality check

Just got home from Walmart BillyRayJimBob and no we didn't get bedspreads or drapes (that was last week).  We bought clothes hangers today (thank you very much).

ONU leads 13-0 at the half and to answer the QB question, Dean Paul was interviewed last week on the ONU halftime show and he has committed to playing Pankratz (the back-up) on a series in the first half of most games just to give him some first team snaps.  He's done well so far on the season too completing 8 of 11 passes for 144 yards so far on the season.

The ONU defense has limited OTT to 55 yards of total offense in the first half.  RJ already has one TD on the day.

RC ... good to hear from you!
Thanks for the QB info.
Oh, as you know, I have moved A LOT, so I know what it is like.

I really felt for you yesterday, with the ONU game postponed and all.  No excuse not to shop/open boxes/hang pictures/etc.  I was kind of in a similar situation with MUC and OSU scheduled late, so I was forced to get the paint buckets out of the attic (been here a year now).  The wife was tired of looking at all the white spackling that I did back in April!
Life is TOUGH!

Well, that was easy! Ya gotta feel bad for the 'Berg.

Anyone know what an Eph is?

According to Wikipedia, Williams College was founded by Ephraim Williams.  The team's nickname of Ephs is simply the shortening of the founder's first name.

From the Williams College website:
What is an Eph?
Pronounced "Eefs," this title is short for Ephraim Williams, whose will and determination led to the founding of the college. Varsity teams at Williams are referred to as Ephs and on occasion men's teams are called Ephmen and women's teams are called Ephwomen.

Thank you both for clearing that up...although it has to be one of the strangest nicknames in all of college football.

Only 58 points?  Did the Raiders forget where the gas pedal was against the Berg?  I needed another FG in Alliance.

ONU blanks OTT 26-0 in another yawner.  ONU is not the offensive team it was last year but they do a good job of controlling the clock and running the ball.  Meadows turned in another 100+ yard/2 TD game.

Trusnik turned in another 9 tackle/4.5 tackle for loss/3 sack game.  He was named player of the week two weeks ago for less prolific numbers so I wouldn't be surprised to see him get the nod again.

OTT was held to 60 yards of total offense for the game.  The Cardinals managed -5 yards rushing for the game and only had 5 yards of total offense in the second half.

One Cardinal did have a banner day.  OTT's punter had 10 punts on the day for a 43.8 yard average.  Way to go!

I guess the difference between Mount and ONU is Mount has a gas pedal, or does ONU have a pedal but no gas?
It will be interesting to see who is yawning next week.

This saturday will be  Mt.s first big test against a quality team.  How they respond will be interesting.   Not much to test them today.  Garcon was having a good time but got flagged for leaping into the enzone on a TD run.  Back up QB was 100% with his passes I believe.  10 or 11 in a row.   Mt. has a lot of depth this year.  Reminds me of a smaller version of OSU.   Kmic  looked good  but heck I might against the student princes.  Back up backs have speed as well.   RJ won't be the only fast back on the field next week.  Jorris had one interception but overall looked like  he should.  Very little pressure on him today.  Bring on the DA bears!
