My general rule of thumb for guest commentators in my booth is that I only let them on the air if they actually have something to say worth hearing.   :)
OAC Champs: 1942 (one title ties us with Ohio State)
OAC Runners-Up: 2017, 2016, 2015, 2010, 2009, 2005, 2004, 2001, 2000, 1999, 1982, 1941 (Stupid Mount Union!)
MOL Champs: 1952, 1950

Perhaps ric and coach would let debein delivery a free pizza to the booth.  You gotta start somewhere in this business.

In all honesty, I know dabein22, and the negative karma doesn't bother me.  He actually knows more than he comes across; he is just a little biased when it comes to Capital football.

These are no keystone kops running press box security at Mount Union.  I'm thinking even with a pizza his chances of getting in are slim and none. But I'm sure he would do a better job than the two that embarrassed themselves whining about the officiating in last year's playoff game.

By the way, the Tale of the Tape is back.

Thanks for all the hard work on the Tale of the Tape. Some very interesting numbers.

Same as it ever was...same as it ever was...same as it ever was...

If dabein is deserving of some press commentary then I should've tried to find the people at the MU-BW game and done some commentary myself. (I think I'm free for the BW-Cap game ;) )

Seriously though, I find it interesting that BW gained voted in the polls even though they lost, while ONU's pretty much out of there by now. No votes for Marietta though, and I'm not sure if thee will be any this season.

Where is all of the Capital smack talk??  I thought they would be on here trying to get us purple people all riled up.

Isn't Pentello (in his eigth or ninth year, I believe) going to throw for 750 yards and 26 touchdowns this Saturday? ;D

Saturday's forecast is for a high of 41 with rain and snow showers. I'll put my money on the "Delta Dart" Nate Kmic on a sloppy day ;)

Kind of hard to talk smack when you are 0-4...I am just praying we can keep up & have a chance in the 4th quarter!!  Too many times over the past few years I told myself we should be able to hang, but end up getting blown out of the water.  I didn't think we could hang last year, and we did...until the clock hit 00:00 in the 4th quarter.  I think this year's MUC team is way better than 2005, and I am not all convinced that this years Cap team is better than 2005; especially on the defensive side of the ball.

I think the B-W game added just a tiny bit of intrigue to the Mount-Cap matchup.  Prior to last Saturday, I think most observers would have said CAP's changes were slim to none.   Even with their 9th year senior at QB, CAP's offensive output, and defensive prowess (or lack thereof) would make one think if Mount plays decent, and CAP plays decent, Mount wins by two touchdowns or more.  Now, you just don't know.

What's that quote.......oh yah......"it's why they play the game!   ;D

Prediction - Mount rolls when Pentello shows up in Alliance "out of sorts"
because he didn't get to use his golden buckeye card the night before for dinner.   ;D

using that logic, that would mean that capital will lose 42-24....cause last year bw lost to mount 17-3 (14 points)  this year, 14 points, so same outcome for cap fans this year im sure. ;D

If the forecast holds true and the field is sloppy Saturday, I just hope Rocky's walker doesn't get bogged down on the field so that he can keep things interesting.

The walker shouldn't get bogged down on the artificial turf--he might get bogged down outside, though, as he heads to the locker room.

Why talk smack? Let the players do the talking and the best team will win. Hopefully it is CAP, but if not, maybe they'll get a second chance in the playoffs.

JK

I'm just looking for a good game this weekend.

I truly believe that Rocky, when he is on, like he was in last year's playoffs can beat anyone.  I just don't know about stopping MUC.  With Kmic and Garcon, they can beat you on the ground or in the air.  Everyone here knows how hard it is to beat a team that is balanced on O.  With MUC you have to pick your poison.  My guess is that you have to commit to stopping Kmic and the run and see if your DBs are good enough to stop Garcon by themselves.  I think Cap's DBs are as good as any in the country, so we will see this weekend.

Unfortunately I won't be able to be there.  I wanted to pack up the Baby and let Grandma babysit while I walked down to the game.  However, once again real life interferes.  I won't even be able to be by a computer to listen to the game, as I will be in "the field" training future Lieutenants for the Army.

I've got to find a better job!  :)

dabein22 is obviously a reference to Otterbein.  I don't think, personally, that anyone with a handle liek that should be allowed anywhere near a mike, especially when it comes to a Capital game.

Good luck to all this weekend.  Stay warm.  Looking forward to loggging on Sat night and reading about a great game.
