Latest weather report looks like it will be much better (relatively speaking) than was predicted yesterday.  Possibly not that much rain at game time, but the wind will be a factor.  In other words, typical late October/November weather in NEO.

Word is Pentello is feeling strong due to CAP allowing him to eat breakfast at the Cracker Barrel, which we all know is the geriatric sets fortress of power.  He might have the game of his life now.   ;D

I thought that the geriatric set took up breakfast at the Bob Evans?  :)

Here, just to the west, it is shaping up to be a chilly but partly cloudy day. Nothing like the mud bowl game I worked last night.

But there is another line of rain storms out by Manfield as I speak.
Same as it ever was...same as it ever was...same as it ever was...

Okay boys and girls--let's review--did I say that the I-70- to I-77 route was quicker????  No I did not!--

What I specifically said was that it was easier--that there was less truck traffic--that you could avoid some radar traps--and that it was a prettier drive:

"On a more serious note--for those of you driving up from Capital tomorrow--it is a much easier drive to take I-70 east to I-77 north and then US 62 across from Canton.  I know it looks a bit longer on the map, but I have made the drive down to and through Columbus on a number of occasions.  I-70 and I-77 don't have near the truck traffic of I-71 and they are a far prettier drive.  Besides, there are a couple of nasty radar traps on US 30 (especially through the Dalton area).  Allow yourself around two to two and a half hours (unless you drive like I do and then you can count on two hours or less )."

Sure 71 to 30 is a little faster--but it is a much more difficult drive contending with all of the traffic and trucks on 71 and I don't appreciate being expected to prop up Dalton's economy by helping some local yokel meet his/her quota of tickets for the month.

You may think that speed is the only thing that counts--I don't.
Reloading--Again, and again, and again....

Wow, Lee Corso predicts Mount Union because they have purple uniforms.

Do both not have purple uniforms? Luckily Kirk correted him there (and also picked Mount with the best explanation of the 2: MUc against anyone he'll take MUC)

Also, I'll be at the BW-ONU game, I'll give you guys a nice rundown of what I saw when i get back to my dorm.

BillyRayJimBob

Not one who goes around backing-up Corso, but since MUC is at home, they would be the only team with the potential to be in all-purple uniforms in Alliance today, and perhaps that is what he expects/meant.

Anyway...  Nice to see the Crusader and Raider logos on the TV screen, and the attention that the OAC and D3 has gotten a couple of times during this regular season.

The capital radio link was giving me some trouble, don't know if any of you were experincing the same.

goto: http://www.wfcofm.com/  and click "listen live" comes in a lot clearer too.

BillyRayJimBob

A solid opening drive by the Purple Raiders that resulted in 7 points.
Multiple ball carriers ... multiple receivers ... NO penalties (that I heard while running around the house).

OMFG
I was at the BW-ONU game, 1 drive, 1 HUGE bolt of lightning that couldn't have been more thn a mile from the campus, I ran.
game indefinitely postponed, I've NEVER heard a lightning strike like that ever. The hail that ame before it was bad enough as is.

tdubs

Sounds like Cap can't stop them....doesn't look too good!

blind_side

Sounds like cap is really missing that presence in the middle with out Sickmeier at LB

Wait, why does the d3 scoreboard say 7-0 cap and the radio say 17-0 MUC?

BillyRayJimBob

I'm watching the Ohio weather radar from sunny, 64 degrees, Blow-sier City, Lousy-ana, and it don't look pretty up there.  As long as it just stays "green to dark green,"  the game should play, but will certainly be miserable.  You can really hear the downpour through the radio broadcast.  The rain "blob" is moving NW to SE, and extends back to between Medina and Barberton.

And the blocked punt makes it 17-0 Purple Raiders.

Wizardman

Just looking at the weather, I'd expect the BW-ONU game to possibly remain cancelled until tomorrow, though there's a small chance it'll continue, it's even worse then yesterday when I said it was awful.
WBWC confirms y hail diagnosis, apparently there was sleet too. They say the game will restart in 15 minuts but I won't blame them if it doesn't restart.

BillyRayJimBob

Much to the probable chagrin of some NCAC folks, the D3 scoreboard has been updated.
