Wow, it's quiet in here.

Makes me wish for the good ole days of Wabash, Widener, and others beating their chests with the classic "but Mount hasn't seen a team like us before".

I'm not so bored to wish for ThunderMom though.......

I find easily offended people rather offensive!

GOTTA LOVE IT!! GOOD ONE HsCoach, but she could still show and it could be in a Mount/ Wheaton Match up!  ::)

OK, I need some help here.  This is a tough situation this weekend (and I'm sure I'm not the only one):

On one hand, Capital is hosting a playoff game for the first time.  Despite not actually playing for the current staff, I have remained loyal to Cap football and try to support them whenever I can.  This will really be the first weekend I will be able to make a game all season.

On the other, there is that little matter of the other game in Columbus that day: OSU-Michigan, quite possibly the biggest ever big game... the first time these two teams will play as undefeated #1vs.#2.  As is the case with most Ohioans, I am a big Buckeye supporter, especially since Coach Tressel arrived.

So what do I do?

Of course, I want to watch both games, but depending on kickoff of the Cap game, I'm not sure it is a possibility with the OSU kickoff set for 3:30.  It'd be one thing if I could leave Bexley for a TV set someplace nearby, but with the current family situation (new baby and all), I would have to back in Lexington, KY on Saturday night.  At the very least I would have to get back to the in-laws down in Hamilton after the Cap game, but how much of the OSU game would I miss on the road?  Hearing it on the Radio is one thing, but I have the feeling that this will be a game you want to WATCH, not just listen to.  Also working into my decision is the fact that this is a rematch of a 57-7 Cap drubbing in the first game of the season.  I know, I know, that was a long time ago and this IS the playoffs, but will the outcome really be that much different?  I was considering the sports bar option, but I have a feeling that every place in Columbus will be packed by about 11am... not an option following the Cap game.  My loyalties are telling me to go to Columbus and just suck it up in regards to OSU-UM, but what if the Cap game is another total blowout and the OSU game is one for the ages as it promises to be?  I mean, a Cap win, and they will play at home the next weekend as well, without the distractions of a game on the other side of town.

What to do, what to do?

Any suggestions?

A caveat to this: If Cap hosts a D3 playoff game and it is OSU-Michigan week in C-bus, does anyone really know about it?  (open shot at the Columbus press)

hey, if it was someone besides Witt i'd say check it out, but think its pretty much a no brainer on the outcome. Now one thing nice, with playoffs starting at 12:00 , there will be the good chance that Mount and Cap will have rolled up enough points you can still have time to hit the cooler and  see MR GINN  :o take the opening kickoff to the house!!
BTW, saw your mom this weekend at the store, she's still looking to young to be your mom! LOL, have a good one!

Now here's a thot for saturday

Thot: n. 1.) Mount Unionese for a preminition or idea in one's head; similar to a thought but far less complex (because it's coming from a Purple Raider).  Some believe that the "ugh" was dropped because it's a sound so many Raider fans have heard from the opposing stands during playoff games.  Said "ugh" sound was deemed "un-Raiderlike" and thus dropped from Mount Unionese vocabulary.

;D

(Since noone else is trying to rile the collective Raider feathers, I am taking one for the OAC team.)

JK - A choice between Cap - Witt or OSU-Michigan?  That's easy, stay in Lexington and watch the Buckeyes.  Now if you were choosing between Mount and OSU the obvious choice would be Mount Unioin.  :D   You would know better than I, but if you're going to Columbus it may be a bit difficult to get around town.  Better go early.

RC - LOL! :D
12-0 = 13

hscoach-

i dont know what makes you more of a degenerate....errr loser...first, bashing the Marietta QB like you did and having your boy ric back you up for "allegedly" not calling Vrable terrible...even though you both used the word on NUMEROUS occasions in your post.

2nd, this whole pick 'em thing for the first round of the playoffs...get a life man and go enjoy the special things in life. Coming up with and having a spread for division III football games....especially since its the first round of the playoffs is a joke. You make those "predators" who gamble on WNBA games look like winners. So stop your bashing of D3 QB's who are better than you think and enough of the "fun" gambling witha  point spread. Thannnnks.

Vrable was terrible Saturday...just fact. Mostly because he made terrible decisions...period.

mtfan...(withouta) Hope...love it!

And how did Hope make the playoffs anyway? Scoring 25 a game? Truth is stranger than fiction, eh?

I think the MIAA is in a downswing because Michigan recently has the best d2 conference in the country (used to be the Dakotas).  Also, Hope has a VERY good defense (by MIAA standards).

Having said that, I MAY still take MUC in the pickems despite hscoach's 45.5 line - gonna have to decide if that is just a bit TOO much, but it won't be close.

I guess the MIAA HAS different D standards as they give up 312 yds a game. That's a lot by any standard, don't you think?
