Lots of flags flying in Alliance tonight. Quite a few personal fouls. Raiders look sloppy at times, but man what speed they put on the field.

I agree that kickoff return from Garcone was unreal. Maybe the fastest return or run  I have ever witnessed. Simply stunning!

Also best wishes to Trusnik. Hope his injury not serious.
Light travels faster than sound. This is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.

Mount's front four dominated the game.Old timers said they had never seen a Mount Union player run as fast as Pierre did on the return.I was relieved to see Robinson start to run like we've heard he could.Pierre's one handed catch while being interfered with happened right in front of me.One of the all time great catches.Does anyone know what happened on the blocked field goal  and the personal foul on us while in their sideline?

I just wanted to say that it was nice to talk to you hscoach tonight at the game and by the way yes we did cover on the MUC game. I always have a great time with the pickems contest each year and I think you  have done a great job with it.

reality check,
Thanks for the update.    Just trying to put things into perspective.

purpled,
I agree that it doesn't matter who blew the whistle.  It's just sad that
it takes this long to resolve the matter.

mt fan and Shark,
You aren't kidding about Garcon's kickoff return for a touchdown!
I couldn't believe he got by all those guys who were so close to him along the sidelines.  Can't say I have seen anyone as fast as him in Div III ever.

Who blew the whistle? Another jealous coach who has absolutely nothing to do except think about whether she could find a dominant outside hitter next fall.

What is a doeder?  Doeder always has been and always will be an ahole.

Whats up with your alma mater ONU?- I hate the fact that the former coach was indifferent. #11 do not stick up for him or the others on the staff that were wrong. Penalizing THIS team is the reason everyone refers to them as the NC double aholes.

Will ONU beat MUC? I hope so and just in case I 'll be there to witness it.

RC
have you heard a further report on Trusnik's condition?  Man i hate to see that happen now, dang, i;m sure he was a lock for the D POY again too.  Hope its not true! :-[

I also hope that Trusnik's injury is not as serious as rumored. Hope it was only a coincidence that Muskingum had some brief success with the run with Jason being absent from the front defensive line. Such a promising start for him with the first two games of the season. I only hope to see number 96 back on the field this season. Also..Muskingum coaching staff has some serious questions to answer, if they think they're going to win running theh ball up the gut on every down..its going to be a long season.

Doug Phillips had 345 yards passing and 5 total TD's in the win over Etta.  Great game for JCU.  Mark Warren went down with a leg injury, serious enough that he was on crutches...no official word yet.  Big game this Saturday for homecoming against the Bears.  This is a big chance for the Streaks to prove that they belong in the top tier of the OAC.

Last week was a pretty good opportunity, wasn't it Toph?

Everybody seemed to think so...

bw scared me saturday, holding on to a 7-6 lead against wilmington at the half at home...not so good.  Deangelo is out for the season, the backup, lewis, played well in the second half, had some long touchdown passes.  finally starting to throw the ball it seems, snell needs to realize that he doesnt have larlham and anders in the backfield anymore, and cant run it every play and just assume he will get it.  hedges is good, but defenses have been keying him all season, hasnt even had a 100 yard game yet.  they better knock off the next 3 teams, because they are going to struggle in the end of the season to get wins....and the infamous winning streak might be over!!!  i vote they go 5-5 and lose the winning season track...anyone want a piece of that?
Go Eagles!
Go Jackets!

I have played and followed the OAC for 25+ years and  Berg football is the worst I have ever seen.  Off stinks the Def stinks special teams stink....what the hell is going on???

Looking forward to next week.......

That is going to stink losing your Homecoming game.  I feel for ya.

I thought the "streak of mediocrity" included .500 seasons.  Hedges doesn't get much help though.  The passing attack is virtually nonexistent.

No news from me regarding Trusnik.  All I know about it is what has been stated here.  I am just hoping it is an injury that sidelines him for just a few weeks as opposed to the rest of the season.

RCHECK
i believe its actually classified as consecutive winning seasons, so they need to be over 500 for that to count.  almost positive, not 100% though.
Go Eagles!

You are correct.  I guess I had the "mediocrity streak" in my head since they have had so many 6-4 seasons in to keep the streak alive.  I said at the beginning of the year that this was the end as well.  When your most potent weapon is your AA punter, its not looking so hot.
