Crusader26,

You obviously aren't married with kids, or you didn't read all of my post.  I actually considered trying to pull off the go to the Cap game and then hit a bar for the OSU-UM game, but there is no way the wife would let that happen.  Figure the OSU game ends about 6:30pm, that puts me back in Lexington around 9:30pm.  On the front end, I would have to leave around 9 am to get up to C-bus for Cap's noon kickoff.  That is 12 hours on a weekend that she is alone with a 5 month old.  SHe does it all week when I am at work, so no way she lets me do it on a weekend unless it is job related.  It's one thing to be worthless at the house in front of the TV, because I can at least watch the baby, but to leave her alone for an additional 12 hours most likely won't fly.  If I go to the Cap game, I'd most likely have to head back to Lexington immediately.
(and all the older giys are bobbing their heads...you know what I am talking about)

I already told the wife I will stay home and listen to the Cap game before I turn on the TV for the OSU game.  She won't get a lot of quality time from me his weekend, but at least I'll be here, unlike the last month or so.

Mtfan,
If she looks too young to be my mom, then she must look way too young to be a grandma! :)

JK:

I have been married for over 5 years, and have a 2 1/2 year old & a 7 mos. old, and both boys will be in the stands wearing their Cap gear!!  I am giving you options on how to watch both games in C-bus, nothing else, nothing more.

Ypsi is being generous  ;) when he talks of Hope's defense.  Wheaton had absolutely no problem with them earlier in the season.  I wouldn't use the word Hope(less) though - I'll bet they are going to give it all they have in Alliance and "hope" for an upset.  I know how it is as I may be in the same position in a week from now...

No problem.  I was wondering the same about you. ;D  Thanks for allowing me to be one of your (OAC) "frequent guest" posters.

Mr. Ypsi:
I think you are right about that in Michigan with the small colleges re: DII vs. DIII recruiting.  Basketball, on the other hand doesn't seem to have been hit as hard, at least as far as Calvin and Hope are concerned.  Grand Valley is really good in BB right now, although a couple (three? - can't remember since I don't have the old schedules right in front of me at present) of years ago, Hope did beat them.  Hope and Calvin can compete against the DII's in BB.  Indeed, I remember you said you were a former "Michigander" EMU as I recall!

Hiker Jim:
Wheaton did handle them quite well, but that was earlier in the season and Hope is playing like a different team of recent weeks.  However, their secondary could be a weak spot against MUC, and as some of us have been saying of recent, Hope's offense has to play better to put some points on the board or they are not going to have much of a chance against MUC.  Still, I'm HOPEing for a "Rutgers" this Sat!

Is JK's mom a hottie?

Considering I went to school with her and what life has done to me, she has always maintained very well. (Remembering that we are talking about JK's Mom here  ;) )

Interesting read in the Canton Repository from LK's speech last night.

"The Purple Raiders did not lose a regular season game from 1994 until last fall, a 21-14 setback to Ohio Northern.

"The team that beat us sent out Christmas cards with a picture of the scoreboard," Kehres said. "That did help us a hair this year."

Mount Union rolled over Ohio Northern, 49-7, in the Oct. 7 rematch in Alliance."

Shark,

Thanks for the link.

Christmas....there is no joy in ADAVILLE this year.

There are a couple of players on the Raider's roster that are from the Holland area of the state up north that should have a little extra for their friends this week.
WELCOME TO THE MACHINE!

I saw that this morning. What a shock.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Schnoor family as well as the B-W family.

Crusader26,

My apologies.  While I appreciate the option, as you can tell from my reply, it won't work.

I just made an assumption based on your reply, which is EXACTLY what I would have done if I was 5-10 years younger, single, or if I lived much closer than Lexington.

Sorry again, no hard feelings intended.

JK

What a tragedy at BW.  My thoughts and prayers are with them as well.

As a recent father, I finally understand that amazing love that exists for your kids.  I can't imagine losing my son, and I can only hope that the Schnoor family can find some comfort and support in this trying time.
