My thoughts are with the Schnoor family as well.

JK:

No need to apologize.  I understand your concern with your family.  Any man of your stature would do the same thing...no hard feelings!!  I just hope to see many Alumni as possible attending Saturday's game...sucks, though, that it is OSU/Team Up North Game on the same day.  At least this year, I will be able to watch the both games.  Last year was the first year that I missed the game, as I was at the NCC/Cap playoff game.

You mentioned you'll be on the sidelines or at the press box with film crew; I will be on the sidelines as well; it would be great to try and meet up at some point.

Wow....reading back through the last few pages and what do I see ???

Who IS this "Craiginator" dude, and what is his problem?  Could this possibly be another Vrable relative that has an ax to grind?  Is he from the religious right and is out on the ledge due to the recent elections?   ;D

Inquiring minds want to know.

I'm on the sidelines Friday night with my local HS kids in the regional playoffs. Saturdays I'm just a dumb alum for a while before my HS announcing gig. Going to try to catch up with some folks at the brunch the campus center.

And thats what I wasted my 1000th post on. BRILLIANT

I did not delve a layer deeper and look at what type of penalty was called in each situation.  As I recall from listening to the games via WRMU on the web, MUC's penalties were not starting to really get a lot of mention during the broadcasts or in Post Patterns until around the season mid-point (began the string of 100+ penalty yards per game).  As I recall, most of MUC's penalties from there on out were holding, pass interference, and personal fouls.  It was not until the last game or so that I recollect hearing an off-sides, false start, or illegal procedure being called.  I am sure that they were sprinkled throughout, and just occurred during my personal activities, away from the computer, which involved the acquisition of fresh, and recycling of used, beer.

I'm guessing it's another one of the Vrable clan.

Craig,
Sorry if my opinion isn't the greatest of Vrable's ability and that ruffles your feathers.  But as a senior QB about to write himself into the OAC record books and playing in his last game, I would have expected him to be at least above average instead of barely decent.  Also factoring in that MUC didn't blitz nearly as much as usual, his decision making looks even worse.  Maybe he just a had a really bad game, but from what I've seen this year around the OAC versus MUC, I'd still take BW's and JCU's sophomore QB's over him.  As well as Stelzer (Otterbein) and the Wilmington freshman (Blackburn).

Hi guys, I'm new to the board.  Glad to be here.

I'm a loyal Mount Union fan (have been attending games for more than six years now) and I usually am able to attend all of the games.  However, I will not be able to attend the BW game due to a family matter.  I know there are some loyal Raider fans reading this board, and since the WRMU website isn't working right now, I might check out WDPN this weekend for my Raider fix.

What do you guys usually listen to?  WDPN or WRMU?  Which is the better broadcast?   Any insight you could share would be much appreciated.

GO RAIDERS!!!

Hey guys I was just crusin around the MUC web site this week and found a great picture of Ric and THE MAN!!!! Keep up the great work on radio Ric. I will be listening this weekend.

Go Raiders!!!!!

Interestingly enough, it appears based on his first two posts that Craiginator is one of your own guys.  He just doesn't seem to care for hscoach too much.

So he claims to be a Raider?  Hmmm, sounds more like a wolfe in sheep's clothing to me.

And as far as having his panties in a wad about me, that's cool.  I'm very comfortable with being a prick ;D

Record-Courier reporting today that Mike Lazusky has resigned as Coach of Hiram stating it is time to hand it to someone who can take it to the next level, whatever that might mean.

OK, I need some help here.  This is a tough situation this weekend (and I'm sure I'm not the only one):

On one hand, Capital is hosting a playoff game for the first time.  Despite not actually playing for the current staff, I have remained loyal to Cap football and try to support them whenever I can.  This will really be the first weekend I will be able to make a game all season.

On the other, there is that little matter of the other game in Columbus that day: OSU-Michigan, quite possibly the biggest ever big game... the first time these two teams will play as undefeated #1vs.#2.  As is the case with most Ohioans, I am a big Buckeye supporter, especially since Coach Tressel arrived.

So what do I do?

Of course, I want to watch both games, but depending on kickoff of the Cap game, I'm not sure it is a possibility with the OSU kickoff set for 3:30.  It'd be one thing if I could leave Bexley for a TV set someplace nearby, but with the current family situation (new baby and all), I would have to back in Lexington, KY on Saturday night.  At the very least I would have to get back to the in-laws down in Hamilton after the Cap game, but how much of the OSU game would I miss on the road?  Hearing it on the Radio is one thing, but I have the feeling that this will be a game you want to WATCH, not just listen to.  Also working into my decision is the fact that this is a rematch of a 57-7 Cap drubbing in the first game of the season.  I know, I know, that was a long time ago and this IS the playoffs, but will the outcome really be that much different?  I was considering the sports bar option, but I have a feeling that every place in Columbus will be packed by about 11am... not an option following the Cap game.  My loyalties are telling me to go to Columbus and just suck it up in regards to OSU-UM, but what if the Cap game is another total blowout and the OSU game is one for the ages as it promises to be?  I mean, a Cap win, and they will play at home the next weekend as well, without the distractions of a game on the other side of town.

What to do, what to do?

Any suggestions?

A caveat to this: If Cap hosts a D3 playoff game and it is OSU-Michigan week in C-bus, does anyone really know about it?  (open shot at the Columbus press)

Rent a private plane out of Lexington for a couple hundred bucks and have it flown up to either Bolton or Don Scott field in Columbus for the Cap game.  Stay in town for the OSU game and be back to Lexington before 9pm.  A good value for a great time.  I have a ton of friends here in Cincy who are going up to the OSU game without tickets just to party outside the stadium.  Portable large screens broadcasting the game are going to be setup all over the lot.  I can't imagine not being there but unfortunately I'll be performing a magic show Saturday afternoon.
