Dis T   I believe there is a penality for taunting the other team.  If the refs don't throw a flag then it must not be taunting.  He does look like he is just having a good time.  He appears to really like to play football.  He runs, tackles, blocks, holds at times and does much more than just catch passes.  Oh and he smiles a lot.
I hear both sides of this and I am VERY old school but as years go by some things change in me. Last night at the conclusion of our regional final game I probably watched the kids from the losing team more than our kids because you know what,  it's over WAY TOO SOON. Some kids will never touch a ball again after high school and only a tiny number play beyond their 22nd birthday (Rocky excluded). So enjoy it. Live it up, because when it's done, theres no going back. Play every minute like it's your last.
Same as it ever was...same as it ever was...same as it ever was...

Seventies  You surprise me.  Some might say your changes are a early sign of vascular dementia but not me.  I agree after all it is just a game.  And if the biggest part of it is not having a good time then it ceases to be a game.   :-*

kirasdad, no Robinson did not dress for the game.

Wow, I haven't seen the Raiders in person this year, but to go from 1st Team All OAC last year to not even dressing for the playoffs this year as a Senior has to be disappointing for Mr. Robinson.  Is he hurt?

Here comes the Wheaton Thunder, again!  Their seasons in 2002-2004 were ended by the Purple Raiders.

Interesting Post in another thread:

Sad but true, according to the NCAA Mike Jorris now plays for Linfield.  However, based on the photo, he still wears a Raider uniform while doing so. :o

Congrats to Mount Union and THE Ohio State University on taking steps towards another National Championship! Now, will an Ohio team fron D2 please step up and make it a clean sweep.

This may be petty but, was anyone else pleased to see Morring get a couple of nice runs and a touchdown? Blocking backs are so taken for granted and seldom praised for their contributions. Especially when they block for players like Kmic. Way to go Terrance!

Maxwell Smith gets the Allstate GOOD HANDS AWARD this week (sorry Pierre, you gotta share) for that lay out diving catch in the first half.

Regarding Garcons "posing" after scoring.....let him. All he does is place his hands on his hips and pause to take in the excitement he just helped to  create. Its not like he walks up to opponents and rubs it in. If you ever pay attention to him on the sidelines or walking back to the huddle his hands are usually in the exact same place....its just Pierre being himself. I have a big problem with this type of call anyways, its just another "judgement" call for the refs to make. And not all refs have the same judgement ,which makes it even worse. Does anyone remember a Stagg Bowl where Dan Pugh got flagged for extending the ball from his body with his right hand after scoring a TD and  got flagged for taunting! He didnt even point it at the opponents. This is rediculous! Its a bad rule enforced capreciously...it ought not exist.  If any of the Raiders want to pause to savor the moment in such an innocuous like manner as Garcon, I say let them....I hope the memory lingers a lifetime. The self esteem nuts dreamed this rule up.

No, he's not hurt.  Just not in the top 3 at TB.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

FYI, the spreads for Round 2 have been posted in the Pick-Em page.

Two very interesting quotes from one of the stories...

``The most impressive thing about Mount Union is its poise and patience,'' Hope coach Dean Kreps said. ``They just know it's going to happen. They just chip away until the dam breaks.''

``We thought we were ready for them,'' said Hope defensive end Matt Erb, ``but we've never seen that kind of speed before.''
