Isn't there also an age limit on the Gagliardi?   ;D

Sorry, that was just too easy to pass up.  And besides, we only have 1 more week to crack on this issue.

Does anyone know of any front runners for the Muskingum football job?  I haven't hear much about Muskingum or Heidelberg for that matter.

I agree Rocky is one of the best players in the country....but grades and off the field contributions are also considered.

Yup.  What he said.

After reading the conference call scripts, I again come away impressed with LK.  Not only is he a great coach, but is just a very classy individual.  In almost every sport Wheaton plays, we have a rival or a Goliath that we love to hate (and try to beat).  As an example, in men's soccer, Wheaton is in the Final 4 and is playing on of these hated oppoenents, Ohio Wesleyan.  Our women's team is also in the Final 4 and may end up playing TCNJ - another hated national Goliath.  But in football, as much as we would love to hate Mount Union, all we can really do is respect them.  I think that says a lot about the real quality of the football program and of the leadership of that football program.

P.S.  Of course, I am using the word "hate" in the context of athletics.  As good Wheaton folks, we really don't hate anyone ;)

Look at the calf muscles on Garcon
Can you say "man crush"?

At least I didn't talk about some of his other body parts.

Look at the calf muscles on Garcon.  No wonder he is so fast...

Just how fast is he?  Derek Stanley from Whitewater was clocked by an NFL scout this spring at 4.26 in the 40.  He's consistently at 4.3 flat.

Anyone got a 40 time on Garcon.... I'm assuming they are pretty close.

Reality Check,
Pretty funny statement about Rocky, but I was just wondering why you always have a smarta** comment about Capital players? I never see you writing anything about Mount Union. Are you still intimidated by them? You had friends that played at Cap and yet you still show the little class that ONU has by continuing to poke fun at Rocky's status and other things. I thought as a GCL alum you would have had a little more sense than to keep making fun of someone for thier accomplishments. Give credit where credit is due and cheer on your fellow OAC'ers that are still playing.

On a side note, it's good to see your boy Anthony Turner playing for BG.
Tdubs

No disrespect intended honestly.  I do have respect for Capital.  The remarks about Rocky aren't directed at CAP so much as they are just potshots.  We all know the real story with Rocky.  We all know it's legit.  It's just the running joke.  I've poked fun at the Larry Kinnard/OSU/D-I athlete argument with Mount just like I've pointed the finger at myself and touched on the extra practice topic before anyone could make jokes of their own.  It's all in good fun.

All that said, I played ball in HS with one CAP player and you know who he is.  If I'm not allowed to take a shot at CAP just based on Doyle than I don't know what this world is coming to.  I don't think it's classless to be able to joke with rival schools.  That's part of the fun with this message board after all.  You can reference my post immediately following the first round games where I congratulated both OAC schools on their victories.  I'll always root for ONU first.  If they are not there, then I root for the OAC.  If (God forbid) the OAC isn't represented, I root for the North Region.  I think Rocky is a helluva player and has played a big part in bringing the Crusaders to theri current situation.  I am anxious to see how Coach Collins and crew do next year post-Rocky.  I know CAP has become a program at the top of the OAC and respect them for what they've done.  I don't necessarily care for the newbie CAP bandwagon posters but we've touched on that before.

And yes it is nice to see Anthony doing some things at BG and I hope Ringer recovers for next year at MSU.  I've yet to catch the OSU-MICH replay but I am also hoping Brandon Harrison played well in the losing effort against the Buckeyes.

Good luck to both CAP and MUC in this week's games.

I actually don't remember if that has been posted anywhere.  I suspect he is in the 4.3 - 4.4 range.  I don't remember Stanley being that quick in the Stagg bowl with Watson covering him.  ;)

I don't know Pierre's 40 time but for reference sake he's the guy that kept running by (and over) Stanley in last year's Stagg bowl.

Who is going to be blocking #90 from Wheaton this weekend?

I sure agree with FF3.No one had a better year than Kostelnik, except maybe Stickley.Kos scored four(4) defensive touchdowns.Did anyone else in the USA score more?Maybe the award has become more of a career thing.Who else thinks Kmic isn't the best RB in the OAC?Rocky deserves all the credit he can get,as do Coaches Collins and Snell.
