Raiders win!  Great game!  Cap has nothing to be ashamed about.

it was a great game....just wrong outcome for us cap fans..  nothing to be ashamed of correct but this loss stings deeply...they're probably the second best team in the country...again, but have to go home empty handed. good luck muc...bring it home so there's some solace down the road in the loss today

Sounds like another incredible game.  Great showing by Capital and Mount Union.  The Crusaders and the OAC can hold their heads up high after another battle.

The OAC sits at 38-9 since expansion in the playoffs.  Winning percentage of 81% is incredible.

Way to go Mount and Capital after another geat playoff showdown.

Yes, great game by both teams.  Not to take anything away from MUC, because they, and especially their D, played really well, but CAP missed some opportunities.  The kicker saves a TD on the KOR, Jorris probably saves one following his INT, and then CAP kills themselves with a penalty driving down at the end of the first half with a chance to take a lead into the locker room.  Cap's Defense was awesome, but all those missed opportunities... what could have been.

Good luck next week to the Raiders.  Please bring home #9, so we can claim we were probably the second best team in the Nation again.

Thanks for the feedback.  I probably could mention the time more.

And thanks for listening.

Good job Gordon!  Doing it by yourself must be pretty difficult!

Congrats to both Capital and MUC....a very hard fought game and the outcome could've went either way with a few plays. We'll cheer you on as you go win another championship.

Congrats to Rocky Pentello on finishing up a great career. Who cares what your record is against Mount. You helped take a program from bottom to top. Who are Mount fans going to pick on next year now that you're no longer there. At least come back and coach so they have something to say.

Cap, you are now at the point where you reload. Rebuilding is finshed and it now comes down to who wants it more and who'd going to make the big plays. It's time to go over the mountain and take your championship next year. Kudos and good luck. You make the Cap alums very proud.

Wow, wished I could have been there, but then the Raiders would probably have lost... (my bad luck).

Congrats to another great season Capital!  I wish they would move the 2nd best OAC team to another region like they did that year with JCU, would have been a great Semi Final game...

hat's off to rocky and the other seniors...they've certainly brought life back into the cap program. maybe some of the muc fans take it for granted that they should be there every year because, well because they're mount.  but let me tell you, it's that much sweeter to be there and do something when others don't expect it...as was the case today...we're disappointed cause we were so close...ur just happy to escape with a win.  collins has done a wonderful job and i wish him continued success.

and lastly, on the rocky-front, as much fun as most have had here at his expense i don't think anyone who has worn a uniform at any level in college football wouldn't want to play as long as you can.  it's a special time that you'll always cherish, ring or not, and for most the friendships that come off that field live a very long time.

very proud of the kids from cap today and this season.  it's been 19 years since we've won a conference crown but i know it'll happen again and sooner than most think.

keep up the good banter and bring it home muc...OAC is the king of D3 football.

peace

Well it's been said Every year for the east team, but this year.... I think St. John Fisher can be at least in a competitive game.  They played an awesome one today against Perennial beast of the East Rowan.

Indeed, sounds like it was a great game to watch.  Wish I could have been there as well.  However, it wasn't quite the blowout that you, rscl, seventies and some others predicted.  Nonetheless, congrats to both teams on a great game; congrats to Capital on great season, and, of course, to Mount for the win.  Best of luck to Mount in next week's game in the quest for #9!

My prediction was:
Mount:  31
Capital: 24

Not really a blowout (7 points).  Defense took over today for both teams, definately not what I expected.

Not as difficult as it is working with some of the people he's been paired with... ;)

I think we all know next year's QB at Capital will get his fair share of jokes too...
