Don't know if many realize, however I do not believe that Moore's outstanding playoff statistics are included into his records as the NCAA later allowed playoff yards to count...
Pat, maybe you could comment on this and perhaps Ric could clarify how  Chuck Moore's numbers may stack up after those yards are allowed.

For my money, I still think Moore is the class of the position...

Morre was the Class of the position, Class of the student, Chuck was well rounded in all areas, a great leader, a great competitor, a class act

Moore's stats posted here (I got them from Ric's site) show 14 games, so I suspect they include the playoffs.

Since we're all rushing - Here's what MUC will have to contend with... Note that Fisher is not one dimensional either, and Robinson's carries are way down from his 2,000 yd season in 2004. MUC will get a nice steady dose of him - We'll need him to have the best game of his career if we're going to move the ball.

RUSHING         GP  Att Gain Loss  Net   Avg  TD Long Avg/G
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mark Robinson 13  244 1521  61 1460   6.0   23   69 112.3
James Reile     13  147  836   33  803   5.5   9   56  61.8

After watching Mounts run defense last week and reading about thier stats all season, it would be tough to say that Robinson will even come close to 100.  Put it this way if I had a RB in fantasy football going against Mounts run D he would be sitting on the bench for the week, I would start somone against Balt or Chicago before Mount

reality check

Gagliardi haters can rejoice because Chad Otte was knocked out of the running in favor of the QB from Alma.

Also the final Aztec roster just came out and the WR Joe Konrad from JCU will be joining Musky's Jack Junker and ONU's Jason Trusnik in Mexico.

Congrats.

Does anyone know how I can listen to the game from the Columbus area?

I believe Chuck Moore won the Gags Award his senior year.  Best back I,ve seen at Mt. so far.  Although Kmic is still just  in his second year.   Is this a Jim Brown vs Barry Sanders  comparision?

I never thought anyone would ever be as good as Chuck Moore, and then Dan Pugh goes and breaks the all levels TD scoring record the very next season. And now Kmic has a real chance to be the all time record setter. One thing Chuck Moore did that Kmic is not asked to do as much, is catch the ball out of the backfield. Moore was great in that regard. Chuck has cheered Kmic on from the visitors side of the stadium lately. Hows that for good sportsmanship! The amazing thing about Moore to me, is he played on junkyard knees and was soooo good. Moore, Pugh, Kmic, what a run of exceptional talents MUC has had lately in that backfield.

I'll take Kmic in a heartbeat! What he has done against some of the best teams in D3 is outstanding. What you do in the regular season is important but the playoffs?...the kid can't be beat!

Robinson will get 30+ carries this game, and he'll be a lot tougher than you think. Our O-Line just saw a smaller & awful quick front from Rowan (and they were tough). That was the first time all year they've seen a smaller yet very quick defensive front - now that they've seen that I think they'll be able to adjust better to MUC's smaller & quicker defense a lot better than they did vs. Rowan - I'd put him close to 100 yards by the time it's all said and done.

With the Fisher passing game, MUC won't be able to stack the box too much.
