Kirasdad
I thought I would update you on this board about Blake Elliot. I attended the St. Johns Kickoff luncheon and Blake's dad was there. Blake was plannning to be there too but his agent had called that morning and they had a meeting with the Vikings to discuss his current situation.
He could take a medical settlement plus receive the money of a second year player minimum and not be elligable to go to any other team for a year.
If he waives that he can go anywhere now.
WELCOME TO THE MACHINE!

Kirasdad,
As a continuation to the last post, I was told that Blake is about 85% now.  It would seem to make sense to take the money and wait till he gets to 100% and come back next year.
I have not heard anything else at this time.
WELCOME TO THE MACHINE!

It's been 30 years since they've attempted a forward pass, so why not.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

Pray tell Coach, what were you doing reading the Zanesville
Times Recorder?
Same as it ever was...same as it ever was...same as it ever was...

Saw the Mount intrasquad scrimmage today. They had a new flanker/kickoff returner working with the 1st team who has good size and can fly. Jorris and Mason shared QB time. Looked like Mason made better choices and threw better passes. Saw a backup running back who looked very good--hit the holes like Ibey. Difficult to make out too many of the D players but did see Whitfield and Watson didn't dress. What looked like the 1st string JV QB has a real strong arm.
I'm told the SID office expects to post the roster Weds or Thurs.

jdean I was not at the scrimmage today but the wideout you saw is probably the one I am told there are really high hopes for.  He is a good one.

I saw that Wooster has a letterwinner returning named Swearingen (from Bishop Watterson HS).  Is that any relation to Ron?  Just curious...

stopped by the Tundra to take in the ONU intersquad.  The Bear defense does seem to be all that it is billed to be, pretty quick to the ball and good pressure upfield. As expected the defense was ahead of the offense at this point and it was hard to tell anything about the offense because when they lined up 1's vs1's the defense did a pretty good job of keeping everything in check.  The Adrian scrimmage will be a better yardstick.
