This is the time a year when looking at the Massey Ratings is even dumber than later in the year. Massey has Mount Union third alright. Tied for third with La Verne. But don't worry Mount faithful, that should all change after they play the Claremont Mudd Scripps Stags. Didn't want anybody to worry. PS La Verne is 2-1

I think if Cap plays aggressive and attacks downfield like they did vs Witt and
Berg they will have a good chance.  If they play conservative and tight like they did vs the Otters it could be a long day.

Bottom line is Cap needs a couple breaks early and not give MUC 30yrd TD drives.  Sounds pretty easy from this side.

Wish I could be there, but I will be coaching my 8th graders to another victory. Nothing like averaging 30 points and a shutout in 8th grade!...Too bad they are all going to Elder and St. X! At least it's the GCL!

I will hopefully see some of you on Saturday. Since it's only a half hour from our game in Ellet  to Alliance, I should be holding up the brick wall at the south end of the field like old times by the middle of the 2nd quarter. Hopefully it's still a game by then.

I think that in the last two games Mount has found an "identity"   and Capital will have a hard time giving the Raiders an "identity crisis." Trying to cover Casto and Garcon will be a headache for Cap and then you throw in an above average running game. Cap's chances...slim and none.

The RUNNING game will be Cap's nightmare this weekend! Another Identity will come into the fold that has been rarely discussed.   ROLL~~RAIDERS!!!

Garcon is the real deal and his speed is fast out of the blocks.  Mt.'s  offensive line play needs to continue to improve.  If the purples make the playoffs, their line play on both sides could be a big factor.  MHB wore them down last year .  This is perhaps the fastest Mt. team overall I've seen in sometime.  If Cap can't match Mt.s speed,  negate Mt's defense,  then the raider offense is going to be on the field a long time. 8)

 Maybe the best front four ever to play for Mount Union will dominate Cap's O-Line.The Raiders tough,quick LB's will have Rocky(a geat player) down and out by the end of three. Cap says they have a great D,well;we are going to find out Saturday at LK Stadium.Someone needs to take over the TB position for  the Purples;don't be surprised if it's the Freshman.He looks and plays like a junior.This is a great Mount Union team.

 Rocky isn't actually a Geat,as far as I know.He is the best QB I've ever seen play for Cap,but I defer to their old timers.

I get the feeling you're thinking about the same thing I am when you say "another Identity will come into the fold". I think this team's talent level, though pretty young in lot of areas, is more than most anticipated at this point.  Raiders ROLL
