And before I forget...

Hats off to Kostelnik on another huge blocked kick.  He should be an All-American Special Teamer for that alone it seems.

Also who could have expected Greg Micheli to walk away with MOP and most importantly who would have guessed the young man would chuck three TD's through the air?!?  Scary.

Congrats to Mount Union on another excellent run...I believe LK stated after the game this is the first time in school history they finished with 15 wins...Outstanding Job!!

Congrats to the Purple Raiders on another title.  Now all we will have to hear out of the rest of the country is how Mount is the only team is a mediocre OAC.  Cap and B-W played Mount better than all of those other "heralded" programs that the voices on this site want us to believe are dominant.  Kudos to the effort of the Warhawks, but if it wasn't for the kickoff return in the second quarter the game would have ended up much uglier than it finished.  Once again Congrats to the Raiders.

Congrats to WW on a well played game.  They have an excellent program.  Their coach said in the post game interview that they had no answer for Garcon 's speed.  LK's game plan was solid as usual.  WW QB had a lot of time to pass, most  I've seen  this year against Mt.  WW has an outstanding O line as well.  Way to go Raiders!  The OAC shines once again.

Congratulations to Greg Micheli (MOP), all the PRaiders, LK!  Fine Is Nine!

Speaking of LK - 92% victories over 21 seasons is, of course, outstanding.  But, it is not so easy to win come playoff time.  He falls off to only 90% in National Championship games.  I do feel a bit badly for Mike Jorris and even Nate Kmic; but, you sorta had to know that to win number nine, it would not be business as usual, it would be "different".  We did learn what happened to Mount's passing game.  It departed Alliance weeks early to acclimate in Virginia for the Stagg Bowl.  Thank goodness for Matt Kostelnik.

Jacobs did have a lot of time to throw but many times he found himself running in circles looking for someone to throw the ball to. Great downfield coverage!

Mount's passing game came out of the dark corner today and exploited a defense that could not cover Garcon. Micheli did a great job of keeping UWW off balance which led to a couple of TD's.  This was a game that all phases clicked...a true team victory. You have to wonder what Jorris was thinking especially after throwing the INT and not playing anymore.

Without a doubt the better team won today!

LK said that Jorris was not 100% and he had been nursing  a shoulder injury [pinched nerve} and a sore thumb on his throwing hand.

TV coverage show his thumb being taped - his left thumb.

You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

oops!  my bad,  his non throwing hand.

How fortunate are we as Mount Union Purple Raider football fans?  What a great turnout by our fans today, might be the best ever!

WE WIN!

Just an unbelievable day!

Congrats Mount Union on your perfect season.

Don't mean to change the subject in the middle of our celebration but the following caught my eye.

Heidelberg College Names Mike Hallett Head Football Coach

Who wants to bet that in 2-3 years we wont be talking about the Berg as the perennial doormat of the OAC anymore!

Ric:

It certainly looked like it on the ESPN telecast.  What was the final official attendance?
