Speaking of questionable officiating?  How the heck did they call facemask on Zimmerman on that KO return?  He did NOT grab the facemask.  Looked like the shoulderpads to me.  Not like it made too much of a difference, but at least he gave the D a chance to stop them.  Great Hustle!

You're correct...he never grabbed the facemask on that tackle.

I noted the play clock running out on the play...it had been at 0 for a good second and a half or so.

From my angle, on the field, it did not appear that Garcon had possession on the catch that was overruled.  I had been shielded from the Stanley catch.

kirasdad one of those pictures seems to clearly show what we thought happened during live action... Derek Stanley stepped out of bounds BEFORE catching that pass that was ruled complete by two officials right on the sidelines and not overturned by replay.  I also did not understand why the first quarter catch by Garcon was not replayed, in live action and again on replay, it sure looked like he caught it, took two steps, hit the ground, then lost the ball.  That was a catch folks!

Mount Union snapped the ball for the next play with 9 seconds remaining on the play clock. Perhaps with a little more time given to the replay official he might have had a chance to review it.

You must have been blinking Pat, replays CLEARLY showed he had the ball, took two steps, hit the ground, and then the ball came out.  There was no doubt about it. None.

Also, I told you about picking Whitewater.  What some people tend to forget is LK's ability to outcoach his opponent and he did it again Saturday.

Pat Coleman

Pretty sure he's talking to patcummings there, just for the record. :)

Congratulations to Mount Union on another amazing year.  Don't you guys get bored of winning?  LOL!

My congrats are sincere.  I have such great admiration and respect for your program, even if that doesn't translate into love.

But I have a lightweight question for you.  Actually, it's from my 15 year old daughter who was also at the Stagg.  What kind of bird is your mascot, and what does it have to do with "Purple Raiders"?  The only thing I could think was that the bird is supposed to be a parrot because pirates have parrots and raiders are pirates, right?  Am I even close to getting it?

As an outsider to your program, it seems that a team with nine championships could have a more "convincing" mascot.

One other thing,  since you guys are projected to be in the Stagg Bowl again next year, can you at least make sure your opponent wears a color other than purple?  I think I am going color blind.  Three years, six purple teams!! Geesh.

Again, sincere congratulations.  It was nice meeting so many of you at Stone Station.

The Muc-caw.  I forget where it came from, other than Mount Union College.

...Monty is not missed!

I agree 100%.  I, like a lot of people, were very worried about the defense when Monty quit.  But looking back I've done a complete 180.  Monty was a great guy to have around the program in recruiting and training, but the defensive schemes and superb use of talent the last 2 years under Vince is staggering.  Monty had better players some years, but the last 2 seasons might be the best 2 defenses MUC has ever had.  Way to go VK!
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Seventies - Nice meeting you.  Email me if you can as I couldn't get your email off of your profile.

D3 Gurus - can't believe you guys still buck MRI.  9 out of 10 Stagg wins should earn more respect than you guys give.

Coach Kehres, as well as the Mount program - still the class of D3.  I am looking for 4 consecutive Staggs to match the Auggie record.  That's about the only thing Kehres hasn't done.

Despite all our bitching and moaning, I'd like to send my sincere complements to the D3 staff on this years All-American selections. I have of course a few minor differences, but agree across the board with the important ones. Carefully and thoughtfully done. Good work D3Sports ;)

I try not to buck MRI. Seems to do a good job helping diagnose injuries. :)

Seriously, though, not sure I'm following.

Thanks, that makes sense, it looked like a Mucaw, only purple.  Lauren called it a duck, which it didn't resemble.  I called it a parrot, which it didn't resemble.

Anyway, as much as you guys win, I guess you can call it whatever Kehres wants to call it.

Again, congratulations on a great season.
