Small but Slow

Still a ways to go 'till its an all MUC alum conference, but we're making progress.
Watching my recording of the game last night I noticed more pro-Ohio football comments as the game wore on.  Gottfried's knowledge of the state became evident as the game progressed.  His pronunciations were a bit slurred, though.  Any word on his health?

skunks_sidekick

Two words concerning his health.  Actually....it's a name.

JACK DANIELS   ;D

(If in fact Mr. Gottfried has had medical issues I then do apologize for this blast.)

Wow.  He even acknowledged his idiot color guy. ;D

Oh, way to go Ric!
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

Ric

thx mtfan I appreciate it, that's a nice article.

raiderguy

Great article for a great guy.

I really rely on RIC to give me my Mount fix out here. (MN)

Thanks and keep up the good work for those who aren't as fortunate to be close by.

That is a great article Ric. And thanks again for the website - it is a fountain of information.
I have been checking for the AFCA Coach of the Year honors. When is it announced and who is in the running? Just curious.

Its funny.  I would think thats exactly what you dont want.  I think the only thing that can stop Mount Unions run at being the best team in the country, is for other Ohio programs to really start hitting Mounts recruiting as best they can.

What if those bottom 4 teams in the OAC (pretty awful nationally?) start getting their programs running with old Mount players/coaches liek siriani.  Dont you think more competition is going to hurt MU? (NCAC or MIAA teams getting better would also dent MUs recruiting)

Just throwing out the question. (Siriani coached at Ithaca when I was there)  What do you guys think will be Mounts eventual downfall?

(enter "MU will never fall" comments at the top of your post)

Kira & Jaxon's Dad

Kehres retires is the start of the downfall I think.

RE: Siriani, I played with him and I would like to see him come to the OAC.  Always want to play the top competition, and maybe we can get the lower tiered OAC teams better so we can finally be better than the WIAC.  ;)

TV ratings announced: http://www.d3football.com/notables/2006/12/20/Stagg+Bowl+ratings+double+2005

Wow that is awesome!

Im not trying to be a prick here but sometimes I just turn my TV off and leave the cable on when I go to bed or leave the house.  I wonder if it being on ESPN1 it just happend that more tv sets simply are on that station at any given time.  Or there has to be a lot of basic cable packages that only have ESPN1 and not 2.  Just wondering about the ratings and how they work thats all...

JohnnyUtah--If you're not trying to be a prick then why don't you go back to whatever hole you climbed out of--and stay off the OAC board.

So your telling me 600,000 more people sat down and watched the game this year?
Do you know how ratings work?
Do you know how many people in this country have ESPN and not ESPN 2?
Do you know whether or not the timeslot that the game was played in was a factor in the ratings?
Do you know if the programs played after the stagg bowl had an effect on the ratings?
Do you know that if more people have their tv sets off if the last channel effects ratings?

I dont know the answers to these questions, so I wanted to throw it out there.  The only reason I posted here in the first place was because I saw Sirianis name mentioned and I played for him and I know hes a good coach and a good guy.

jeeze, I wonder what the 'a' inbetween the and prof stands for?  I think I have a guess....

Hey RIC, I met 2 guys from Fla Saturday who said they listen to you on the web broadcasts. Make sure those ratings points are counted! Radio is a tough business ya know! ;)
