Mini-Me = Vern Troyer.   I can see it now....Vern Troyer as RIC on the sidelines interviewing LK, with microphone fully extended ,  and only reaching LK's zipper..... :D  Depending on the camera angle you COULD get an unfavorable film rating.  HEY! This was supposed to be a serious flick!  It was suggested that Larry Kehres could be played by either Robert Redford or Ed Begley Jr. What do you guys think? ;)

Ric

Tom Cruise is slightly too tall but, being People's Sexiest Man, I think you're on the right track.  HScoach keep it up and the picture of you on my site will really get good.

I think Clint Howard would be a good one to play Ric.

Who would play some of the opponents in the Mount Union Movie?

I'm thinking Burt Reynolds plays Rocky (although we would have to frost his hair and get him a couple of earrings).  Or perhaps Burt isn't old enough?  :)

Maybe we can get Dan Patrick to make an appearance.  He seems to like making cameos in movies (Waterboy, the Longest Yard remake).  I'm not sure how tall he is, but maybe he could play Ric.  Maybe the guy from the sitcom "Still Standing" who was ESPN's "The Rick" could be HS Coach.

Maybe "The Rock" will make an appearace as BJ Payne?  Maybe Jamie Foxx, or perhaps Cuba Gooding could channel his inner Rod Tidwell again, as Garcon?

On opposing coaches, I'm thinking Pacino could play Kaz.

This is fascinating...

Small but Slow

The actor who plays LK has to be taller than the rest of the cast.  Given the actors mentioned so far he would have to be almost 5'10".  I'm a big Randy Quaid fan, but I'm afraid his type cast as Cousin Eddie may damage his ability to play LK affectively.

HScoach

Cousin Eddie as LK?  That's just too funny.

I'm not the biggest TV or movie buff out there so I'm way behind in this casting call thing, but I'm thinking Jason Alexander would be the perfect Ric.  He's got the height thing right, he's a easily excited, talks way too fast, and most importantly became famous for riding the coat tails of others...... ;D

I second the vote for Burt Reynolds as Rocky P.  Burt definitely has the resume to play the part after his performance in The Longest Yard and being an AARP card holder.

Given Kaz's ouster for making less than the best decisions off the field, I'm thinking someone like Nick Nolte should play him?

Ric

Mark I'm not sure what your fascination is with bald guys but don't say I didn't warn you.

Nice picture, but at least I didn't spend the entire 2nd half of a HS game a few years ago gushing over a 5'-5" kid.

Hmmm, what's the word I'm looking for????

PEDOPHILE?

Yup.  That's it.

Sean Penn could play Ric.

How are you going to convince an Acadamy Award winner like Sean Penn to play RIC?

Actually, I wonder who can play K C Keeler. He will have a recurring part and must look good in sunglasses at night. Thats tough to cast! Are there any character actors who specialize in being thwarted?  Who said, "Curses, Foiled  Again" Lets get that guy.

Too bad John Belushi isnt around anymore. He would win the Acadamy Award for playing B J Payne. If we coulda just gotten him to shave his head.....

Any ideas for Monty? Hes gotta be in there?

Small but Slow

Charlie Sheen might make a decent KC Keeler.  I've been working on the screenplay in my head, and can't come up with major conflict or tragedy Mount has had to overcome in the past 20 years.  We may have to take some creative license along the lines of a bad batch of grilled cheese at Slater's for the pregame meal in a national semi-final against Rowan.  Brian Dennehy could portray Mr. Davidon.

reality check

I can't believe I'm resorting to this conversation but... here goes.

JK

Dan Patrick is 6'3" or 6'4" so playing Ric might be too tall a task for him.

Re: Burt Reynolds

Are we talking about Burt Reynolds playing Rocky as Burt appeared in the remake or the original for Longest Yard?  Or maybe we think Burt should play Rocky as he appeared in "Dukes of Hazzard".  Speaking of old QB's maybe we should consider Dennis Quaid since he already played an ancient QB in the movie "Any Given Sunday".

The MUCaw could be played by the Philly Fanatic because nobody knows what the hell he's supposed to be either.
