You have to give JCU credit but I believe the only table they will be running is the training table ;D  there is nothing worse than meeting up with an INJURED BEAR throughout the course of hunting season!

While I admit that Jason Trusnik is the best defensive player in D3 (Coach Scafe's words), JCU put up 622 yards of total offense.  You're telling me one guy is going to make that big of a difference?  Trusnik would take 25 points off the board had he been in the game?  What do ONU fans think of this assessment?  The fact of the matter is that after the first drive of the third quarter (until their last drive, or as I'll call it the "Timeout" drive) the ONU offense couldn't do anything.  They would move the ball only to have the JCU D tighten up and force a punt, or get an interception.

Here's a question for you Bears:
How excited are you about the future devleopment of RJ Meadows?  That kid (a freshman according to the depth chart) looks like a player.

Looks like MTU wore Purple/Purple yesterday. Didn't need to bring out the Black Tops for Capital?

Can't add much to what has already been said.  How many times do you see two high powered offences come on to the field only to have the game end up a defensive battle?  That's how it was yesterday.

With the exception of the first two and a half minutes of the fourth quarter, Cap's D gave Mount all they wanted.  Great game by both defensive units.
12-0 = 13

On a BITTER note for the Bears,  one man has had a signigicant impact and thats just fact. His numbers do not lie. And the bear's stats WITHOUT him do not either. On a positive note for the BEARS, they have 2 games to play that can build confidence and make them a PURPLE PAIN in the @ss before the much hyped game at the begining of the season.  ONU is not finished yet! They have NOTHING to loose.

It was so bad yesterday I almost considered flipping over to you guys to listen to the end of the game...talk about sad.   ;)

I always like to think my broadcasts are worth listening to.  You should've been there from the get go.   ;)

You still didn't answer the question.  Do you seriously believe that having Trusnik on the field takes 25 points off the board and stops Doug Phillips, who was unbelievable yesterday?  You act like the rest of that defense is junk.  They still have one Trusnik, who looks like a good player, a big defensive line, fast linebackers, and the defending OAC defensive player of the week in Midlam.  Stick to posting ROLL RAIDERS, it suits you better.

b4uknewit

Toph-- Hope you do not speak so mindless in your broadcasts!  When did I state (A player makes or breaks 25 points?) Stick to whatever crap you do in your booth and do not put words in my mouth.  I've shown and posted nothing but respect for ONU since the begining of the year. I do believe with the two games ahead they will rebuild from what is a DEVASTATING loss to their team as a whole. In the meantime Mount will play two games that SHOULD be a bit easier.  This concerns me because if Purple lets their guard down one bit from a lul, then ONU could and will be a Real Menace.  Above that , who the hell said anything about the rest fo the D being junk?   With the exception of JCU ( because I wanted to take a jab at 4U, I've been very respectful of all teams in the conf, so take a pill there bro!  oh, and ROLL~~RAIDERS

I think you know as well as I that LK will not let his team have any sort of a letdown. He prepares one game at a time and takes all teams seriously. And you also know that there are no easy games in the OAC.  8)

Did Heidelberg get voted out of the OAC without me realizing it? ???

Not having Trusnik didn't cost ONU 25 points.  IMHO, what may have cost them was the mental drain of the last couple weeks, coupled with not having their inspirational leader (Trusnik) on the field with them.  Coaches will claim that the "off-the-field" stuff is not a distraction, but that is just coach-speak.   Anything that detracts one's attention from the task at hand has a negative impact.

MUC beating JCU 70-0 probably didn't help their mind set either.  Nothing like having your mental energy focused elsewhere when playing a team much better than you believe them to be.   That's the recipe for an upset!
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

Technically Karma is what you get if you don't go off and make stupid remarks on other conferences boards. Just thought I'd clarify that for some of the board jumpers (read 'guru's') that have negative 10-15 Karma
Same as it ever was...same as it ever was...same as it ever was...

ACMob

70's raider--  you get it on your own board also :(

Pat Coleman

Mob, I believe most of your negative karma comes from your forays into the MAC board, actually.
