In my first week at Mount (fall 1973), I was walking across campus and  Dean Freed said hello and called me by name ...I was shocked as I did not know him for goodness sake...I later found out that Dean Freed had made a point to say hello and get to know me because I was one of the few veterans on campus...I always respected him and appreciated his wonderful service to Mount Union..

We sent ONU Ron Weber as well.

I was becoming a veteran when Dean Freed showed up

So is there much interest in Friday night's festivities?  I'm going to be making my first appearance in Alliance and I'll be providing the color for the D3.com broadcast alongside Matt Florjancic.

HURFMUC,  I think we spoke about this earlier this playoff season.  I'll be meeting hscoach on Friday night at the bar formerly known as Brendas  ;D

Unfortunately I don't have Dr. Freed's name on my diploma.  I missed that by 4 years.  I did however get to go to his house for an athlete's dinner in the fall of 1999 and I worked for 4 years in the performing arts center named for him.  Since you brought him up I googled him and to my surprise he didn't just ride off into the sunset.  I can't believe he's been at U of Findlay since 2003.

He was a great guy but I was also impressed in the last three years of my enrollment with Dr. Baker, especially when he went down on the track and did pushups with the ONU cheerleaders during the 2000 season.  He knew me by name as well and I had the pleasure of taking some classes with Mrs. Baker in the art department.

I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

I think 9 will work for me.  I'll email you for some directions and whatnot.

It was seldom a good thing if the Dean knew me by name ;)

Skunk (I haven't verified this with him but he always good to go..), my son Alex, and I will be there about 9 ish.  Saintsfan....any chance we can get Matt down on Friday (I assume he lives up on the westside of Cleveland?)?  I'll buy a few rounds AFTER I actually see HSCOACH buy a round (I know a bunch of Minerva guys...they are CHEAP)!   ;D

Mark......can we get Ric to show up?

SaintsFAN

I haven't talked to Matt yet, Skunks.  I sent him an email but it got bounced back to me this morning.

I'm hoping Pat can get me in touch with him.

I think one of my fraternity brothers is a part owner of the Wing Warehouse in Alliance.

Now I know the players and coaches don't look past any opponent and Wheaton certainly is a formidable opponent but none of us have to worry about the politics and locker room material for jumping ahead so here's my question:

Mount Union fans and followers, who would you rather get in the Stagg; Mary Hardin Baylor or Whitewater?  Both games would be rematches of losses but which one do you want to avenge more?

UMHB, better for D3 Football rather than have the same two teams 4X in a row.  Now I know other schools would probably rather see someone other that MTU, but I am a bit biased.
