And for the record, we're not meeting at this place because it's great food, world class "talent", or free drinks.  We're meeting there because it's the only place in Alliance that we all can find since it's right beside campus ;D

Never know about the "talent." Tomorrow is the last day for finals. Might be some "sorority chicks" out and about  ;D

Technically the drinks will be free once reality check gets there... we do have that on record.

I was actually joking about hoping to see some talent.  I get so wrapped up in football discussion most times that my girlfriend gets pretty pi$$y with me about it.  I'm glad to be meeting up with some die-hards and being able to talk X's-O's + Jimmy's & Joe's without being interupted.

If I look at the "talent" too much my 20 year old daughter would smack me and say "DAD...that's just wrong!"   ;D

Plain Dealer Terry Pluto story on Nate 12-10-08:

I really miss Terry Pluto in the Akron Beacon Journal. Great writer and great guy. Also a big time Larry Kehres fan.

My spell checker keeps trying to change Kehres to Kestrels. Opposing coaches might agree that he is sort of a "bird of prey." ;)

Thrown out for general discussion: After watching the last two games, I'm curious: Do you think that VK and LK have made great adjustments at half time or just not "shown their hand" until the 2nd half, or both. Really wasn't an issue against Randolph-Macon

Uniquiring (Inquiring) minds want to know.   duh

hscoach, thanks for the insight on the game.  if you guys think it will be competitive into the second half that would be good to see since most of wesley's games were not.

skunk, i am always looking to try new beers, so that sounds good.  time to make the hotel reservations, the super 8 is within walking distance of the college and a short drive to the wing place.  if all goes well and nothing changes between now and when i get home tonight, i hope to see you guys friday evening, that also depends on the pa turnpike and traffic.

reality check

Pat

I played a rimshot for you for your 40 comment.  Nice.   ;D

You talked about your girlfriend's reaction but what does you wife think???

Seventies

So spellcheck has issues with "Kehres" but doesn't have any issues with the new word "uniquiring"?  I think the best adjustment LK has made this year was putting VK upstairs, first half, second half or otherwise.

ha!  Wife??!!  Actually, I'm not sure what she would think.... or that I care much.  We've been divorced for 4 years and she just got remarried in August.  She is THAT GUY's problem from now on!!   ;D

Easy now!!  The spellcheck is having to use the pain relievers that 70s had leftover

The Super 8 is a lo-o-o-ng walk from campus--but it is the closest hotel to campus.  You'll want to drive to the game.  Tailgates are in the parking lot on the southwest corner of the stadium.  The police will be there, but they are really cool as long as you pour the beverage into an opaque container--they'll even watch you pour.  As long as no one gets stupid they let it go.  You will find us a friendly group--until you get on the field!!

I was trying to remember where the Super 8 Is.  Way down almost to the Mall right?

Is the Best Western still open?  If my geography 44601 is correct its a few staggers closer to campus.

Knightstalker - Thanks.  If MUC loses I'll be banned from this board.  I banned myself for nearly two years when St.Johns beat Mount in the Stagg in '03 because somehow I felt responsible for the loss.  Is that a sign of schizophrenia or narcissism?

Small but Slow

I'm in my classroom in suburban Tampa and a student is wearing a Wheaton College sweatshirt!  His sister is a senior at Wheaton. He knows nothing of the football team.  Thought for a minute I could coerce a scouting report from a 7th grader.
