While I would love to see Nate break the record next week, I think it would be better for Kmic to get it there on the home field.

Get the numbers, call a timeout, and pull Kmic for the game.

Point is Moot!  TD KMIC!

I like Nate's idea for the record better than my own!

can we get Nate one more year of eligability?

Kira & Jaxon's Dad

Fourteen more yards and Nate will have a clean 8,000 yards for a career!

All he has to do is file the papers to change his name to Nate Pentello.

+K for all the posters in honour of the all time all division record holder for rushing yards!

Small but Slow

Nate looks like a man playing against boys today!  Think he was ready.

Okay - I finally feel safe asking the question.  Which is the Mount Union hotel (motel) in Salem?

Nice...good one. +K for you.

Congrats to Kmic.

No quit in Wheaton.  Very well coached team.  Nothing but respect for the Thunder.

Long time reader, first time poster CONGRATULATIONS NATE and Best of Luck to the Raiders next week in Salem

Great opportunity to practice the hands team.  Never know when you'll see an onside kick next week.

reality check

I was laughing because as someone asked whether to pull him or what, I was thinking, "you know, if he's this close let him break it at home.  It won't be on ESPN2 but it will be in front of the most deserving people; the fans that have cheered him on for four years," and before I could put my thought to the forum he busts a 42 yarder and gets the record.
OAC Champs: 1942 (one title ties us with Ohio State)
OAC Runners-Up: 2017, 2016, 2015, 2010, 2009, 2005, 2004, 2001, 2000, 1999, 1982, 1941 (Stupid Mount Union!)
MOL Champs: 1952, 1950

All right, time to check out UMHB-UWW.

Congrats again.

BTW, before I go, very impressed with the quality of the webcast today.  Didn't have any real blurriness, any lags, or any loss of audio or video throughout.

Its good he got it today.  Not that he wouldn't be focused, but it takes pressure off the rest of the team.  His freshman year I figured he was the product of a good system and line.  I now believe he is truly a special athlete that makes the system click and makes his line better.  I love the way he breaks ankles in the open field and finishes off his runs.  Nice mix of power, moves, and speed to break the long one.  Still think he'll play on Sunday if he can stay healthy and is patient enough to develop his game.
