Congrats as well to the Coach Swider and the Wheaton team, though being abit outmatched today, they played with alot of heart and kept playing hard til the finish. I loved Coach Swider's statement at the post game.
"I said coming in that I didn't care if they passed for 500 yards against us, I didn't want (Kmic) running," Wheaton coach Mike Swider said. "So what did he do? He's that good."
a class coach and program at Wheaton. Congrats on making what seemd could have been a frustrating with the few mid season losses, into a impressive run!

Thanks, mtfan.  Believe me the pleasure was all mine.  Your whole program is class... everyone I met are "good peoples".  I bring alot of that on myself, so RC goes to town on me.  An example of this is the "talent" comment that got so much play on here this week.

Soooooo... we meet again!!!!  Following today's wins I think I could actually hear the rest of the DIII faithful roll their eyes on another purple on purple Salem matchup. I would hate us too if I was a Wesley or a MHB fan.

Any chance Kmic can sit out and give some underclassman a chance to gain experience??? you have to plan for the future you know   (I didn't think so)

Best of luck in Salem...hopefully things go as well as last year, but I think it'll be a little different. Just ecstatic to be back to the Stagg Bowl.

   What a great weekend! Really enjoyed getting together with the D3 football "junkies". Nice to talk football with the Mount regulars and our two out of town guests SaintsFAN and Wesley Dad. I have been following Mount for 31 years. I consider myself very fortunate to have seen the truly amazing things this program has accomplished, things I don't believe will ever be duplicated.
   Today was a special day. First getting a quality win against a very talented, classy opponent, earning yet another trip to a National Championship game. Being present to see NATE KMIC surpass the record. Now rushing for more yards in his career than anyone who has ever played the game of college football. Congratulations to a humble young man who is the first one to give recognition to the "big guys" up front who have enabled him to do this.
   Players, stay focused and prepare well for your biggest challenge of the year, and the results will take care of themselves. GO MOUNT!!!

Who's to say Kmic can't pick up 300 yards against UWW?  Its not for him to decide, nor Coach Kehres, nor the Warhawk defense.  It's purely circumstance.  Weather conditions, defensive, and offensive game plans along with emotions will determine his statistics.  Chances are if UWW wants to focus its efforts on stopping Nate Kmic he can be limited, but if weather conditions are favorable Micheli and his receivers can dissect them.  Once again the key matchup will be UWW's defensive front four against Mt. Union's O-Line.  If four D-linemen can pressure Micheli then Uww can contain Kmic.

Everyone of the links I've read tonight have the same story repeating the same wrong total points per game for Mount and their opponents (791 & 126).

I believe the correct numbers are 652 & 105. 

Of course, Mount could have scored 791 if coach Kehres would have let them, but dissing Mount's defense with those erroneous extra 21 points allowed must hurt!
