Didn't the MUCaw come around about the same time the Purple Raiders started this magical run???

Does anyone just get tickets when they get there? If not, what should I do to get tickets? Thanks

No...I think our mascot was Willie Seiler back in the early 90's.

Unlike many...I'm sensing something different for the Stagg Bowl.  I can honestly see Mount go "Lycoming" on WWW this weekend.

I am still cracking up about the 5-2-5 lol

For what its worth, the Buccaneers Cheerleaders site  has a link for "appearance requests" on the left. Might be nice to have them APPEAR in my section of the stands. I wonder if there is a charge? ;)

The pirates parrot was dropped as the mascot years ago for cussin like a pirate, hence the non verbal MUCaw. MUCaw was funny on the replay mocking the sideline reporter during an interview. She shoulda conked him with the microphone.

Best seats I ever bought for the Stagg were purchased walk up style before the game at the stadium. Some of the worst were bought during the 4th Quarter of the semi finals 1 800# style.  You just never know.

Due to the economy more people I talked to about going down to Salem decided to watch it on TV instead. Im going anyway.

And here's the good news, I won't be watching the game on TV.

Pam claims it's predjudice that she spent so long on the sidelines. I think it's reverse predjudice that she even has a job. TOKEN

I'd volunteer to pay for Erin Andrews to do the game.

I don't know what you're smoking, but it must be good stuff.

This is going to be a battle.  WWW is bigger, faster and stronger than any team we've seen since the last Stagg.  Whitewater's size advantage is going to be a problem, especially for our run defense.   And they bring one of the most important aspects to the field against Mount:  CONFIDENCE.

I'd be shocked if this game is anything but a real close battle for 60 minutes.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Even with a tank of gas down and back and a one night motel stay, it's cheaper than two good Cav's tickets and way more fun.

Hey gang.....just called the box office about an hour ago and got 40 yard line seats, 12th row.  It's cool we are on the other side for once.  Need to change the mojo after last year.

Actually this reminds me of the '96 Stagg.  Every comment you just made about WWW...you could have said about Rowan that season.  Every last one including the CONFIDENCE remark.  I do think it will be close for awhile...like in '96... but I can honestly see Mount scoring into the 50's.  Why...playmakers who have the emotional advantage this time around.  I think Mount came out flat last season and got beat at the line of scrimmage.  Weather did not help...but I take nothing away from Whitewater...they won that game on that day.

But today is a new day...and I have read quite a few articles and you would think that Kmic...might be talking about his personal accomplishments or even The upcoming Stagg Bowl and what it means to this year's team.  But that's not what's happening.  In fact, I'm reading something more telling.  Kmic & Company have repeatedly stated publicly that they let last year's seniors down and it was the worst feeling they've ever experienced and they will atone for that moment.

That's something Whitewater can't say and an emotional advantage they will not have this weekend.  That's HUGE.  Bigger than any stat someone could pull up.  But if you want stats and facts...the fact is that WWW is the defending national champion...they are the ones with the pressure.  The have to PROVE that last year was not a fluke as some have stated.  Mount will look for atonement and that is an emotional edge that wins games when all else is equal.  The other undeniable fact is Mount has a multitude of playmakers who are going to make plays this Saturday and I think it could get lop-sided in the end (just my view)...Kmic is not going to get pulled out in the 4th quarter...but will be in there for the very last snap of the game....and irt will not be dives into the middle of the line for the last 7 minutes either.

Two weeks ago I said that if a team stuck 8 in the box to stop Kmic then Micheli would go "Borchert" on a defense.  That proved to be true this past weekend as Micheli & Co. let off the gas pedal thankfully.  It could have been worse for Swider... referring to his pre-game comment about it being o.k. for Mount to pass for 500 yards as long as they shutdown Kmic.  Honestly...  Mount could have passed for 500 yards and Kmic still get his 300.  Receivers were open all over the field ALL DAY and the 2 bombs to Shorts were no doubters (TD's) if it were not for the wind.  These are the things that I see when looking at the game tape again.

If WWW lines are bigger...then I don't think that means they are faster than MUC's line.  I'll take speed and finesse anyday of the week.

HS Coach;
What type of defense do you see WWW playing this weekend. 8 in the box will give up 200+ yards to Kmic and does not fare well against 5 receiver sets...and oh by the way I forgot to mention that the most talented payer on the field (Micheli) can run a little bit himself as well...

I stand by my previous post.

HSC,
I couldn't agree more about this upcoming contest. We were counting on it last year and ended up with the short stick. WWW is still a work in progress and you only have to look what has happened with them through the playoffs. We will have to play a near perfect game to take this prize, holding onto the ball and eliminate the stupid penalties. The refs have allowed them to play the past couple weeks, but if they change that during this game, we could be in a world of hurt. We are capable of putting points on the board and all that, let's just remember they have done it all year as well. Taking nothing away from MUC & all the playmakers we have, these WWW guys still grab all my attention. I hope our "A" team shows up and we can whoop it up after the game this year. Everyone counted us a shoe iinlast year and it didn't work out, so this year I say
"LET"S GO RAIDERS - GIT IT DONE" !!!!

After watching Mount's secondary against Wheaton on Saturday, I cannot see how ANYONE thinks this game will be a blow-out.  Just about the only time Wheaton's QB didn't complete passes was when...
A.  His receivers DROPPED THEM
B.  He was getting DRILLED by Mount

If WW's O-line is bigger/better than Wheaton's, and can give their QB time to throw, and holes run through, it's going to be a very tough, long, nail-biting day.  Mount will HAVE to score into the 40's MINIMUM to win this game, and quite honestly, I am not sure they can do that against WW's defense.

And HOLY CRAP if it comes down to the kicking game.  YIKES!!!!   ::)

I am very worried........where's my Goose...errrr......"nerve medicine"?   ;D
