For what it is worth, NFLDraftScout.com currently ranks Nate Kmic as 66th out of 173 RB's, while Greg Micheli is ranked 27th out of 124 QB's.

The aforementioned Jason Boltus is ranked 7 ahead of Greg at 20th out of 124 QB's


Interestingly enough Cecil Shorts III is ranked 28th out of 331 WR's for the 2010 draft.

Garcon and Trusnik are both in the same situation.  The one thing that Trusnik has going for him as stated last week is that Mangini really liked him and he has the option to bring Trusnik to Cleveland; in effect he'd be bringing Trusnik "home".  I think they both contributed enough as special teamers though that a coach has to think about keeping them simply based on the fact that they're cheap and affordable options on special teams.

He may have the option to bring him back, but I don't know if you could honestly say that he "really" liked him. No coach (at least not a reputable one) is going to say he doesn't like a player on his squad. Trusnik got a lucky chance to start because of lack of options.  I do hope that he does get to come play in Cleveland.  Like Cribbs, playing with a sense of pride being close to home is an intangible that you can't always measure. Bottom line is that I hope both Pierre and Trusnik continue to have success in the NFL.

A lucky chance to start?  What are you talking about?  He played in the final regular season game as a backup to David Harris.  I'm just not following what you're trying to say.  What "lack of options" are you talking about? 

I say Mangini liked him in reference to the article I linked to from the Jets' website last week.  In that article it was explained that Trusnik was the only free agent Mangini called personally after the draft.  Trusnik said he felt he and Mangini have a special bond in that article as well.  That's what I was referencing but I don't know exactly what you meant in your response, this my request for clarification.

More thoughts on Cecil.  How is it a Junior from a DIII College is ranked as the 28th WR Draft Prospect when there are over 100 D1 (FBS) Schools?

Is Cecil that good, or is this website over-rating him?

2 coaches fall through hotel window at convention

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Two assistant coaches apparently wrestling with each other fell through a hotel window Tuesday morning and fell four stories to a concrete sidewalk, leaving one in serious condition.
    The American Football Coaches Association is holding its annual convention at the Opryland Hotel, and hotel security had been called around 4:10 a.m. with a noise complaint when officers found a broken window and Scott Coy and Darren DeMeio outside on the ground below.
    "They wrestled each other too close to the window going through it and down to the ground floor," Nashville police spokeswoman Kris Mumford said. "That's four floors."
    Coy, 29, is 6-foot-2 and 300 pounds from Newcastle, Pa. He was in critical condition and having surgery Tuesday afternoon at Vanderbilt University. DeMeio, 24, is 6-4, 225 pounds and from Clinton, Ohio. Police said he was in fair condition but remained in the hospital as of Tuesday afternoon.
   Coy is co-offensive coordinator at Westminster College in New Wilmington, Pa., and DeMeio is the running backs coach, according to the college's Web site. A telephone message left with the sports information office was not immediately returned Tuesday afternoon.
    Hotel spokeswoman Kim Keelor said the window the men fell through was double-paned with a strong wooden sash in the middle.
    "It's very sad. I definitely want to express our sympathy to their families. It's just a very strange and unfortunate occurrence," she said.
