Mr. Ypsi

We Wolverine fans thought Cooper was the finest coach OSU ever had! :D

bushman

Good ol Coop   He had on his team an all American receiver, who,s name escapes me, with a 0.0 grade average. What a guy!   OSU kept him for 11 years.

I thought that was a quarterback that played at a different Columbus school for eleven years.  Let's see, what was his name again??

;D ;D ;D

BTW The real Herman Boone of "Remember the Titans" fame will speak at the Mount Union Theater for Black History month. Sorry no Denzel Washington, still it should be worth attending. PS for all you other old guys out there, it's free and gets you out of the house

Here some irony: Danny Woodhead whose record Nate Kmic broke this year is 5' 8" and 200 lbs, about the same size as Nate. Was signed by the Jets last year but suffered a season ending knee injury. He's looking to hook up with Mangini in Cleveland or get another shot with the Jets. Yeah I'm so bored with this snow I'm reading the Chadron Nebraska newspaper online.

reality check

My high school played a Canadian prep team for a few years and Herman Boone came to one of those games to speak to both teams.  He's about as far from Denzel Washington as a person can be but it was great having him come and speak to our high school about his experiences.  He's worth a trip to listen to.

And here I thought Mount's success was due to great coaching when all along it's been due to the right software. :o

Number 6, baby!

Almost makes up for the Buckeye loss a month ago...

As much as I want to, I'm not going to jump in on the Tressel talk.  You all know where I stand on that.

Good luck to Beau Balderson.  I remember him more from his Marlington days than his MUC days.  Good guy.  Surprised he was the choice over Jeff Morris.  One of the few times Marlington got the better of West Branch  ;D

Yup, 4 more super bowls and they will tie MUC for championships......just wanted to keep it in perspective.

Blutarsky,

With the all time record of SIX Super Bowl titles, it's fair to say the Steelers are the
Mount Union of pro football, especially considering the level of competition during the Super Bowl era. And with the talent and youth on the roster, Pittsburgh should be in more Super Bowls over the next several years. Just putting it into the proper perspective, sure glad the Browns and Bengals passed on Big Ben in the 2004 draft!

But six is not the record for National Football League championships by one franchise - just to put it in perspective.

Packers have 12 including 3 Super Bowls
Bears have 9 including 1 Super Bowl

Only two I can recall off the top of my head.

Did the Steelers win 6 championships in 9 years or so?  I don't think so, more like 6 in 25 Years.

Try 10 Championships in the past 15 years.  The Steelers are NO Mount Union.

That, my friend, is proper prospective.
