OK I officially can't find the ring on Ebay.  I did however see a 1978 Baldwin-Wallace ring for sale.

The only 2002 Championship ring I located said something about "Leave No Doubt" on one side and a record of 12-0 on the other side and that doesn't match beenhit2hard's description at all.  At least I found the B-W ring.  Good choice on their part as the stone is blue and not brown or yellow.

I know, I know, I know. The horse is dead, the horse is dead.

Just happened to look at the postings of openings for games in 2010 & 2011 and if we can't get ST. Johns to travel 800 miles for a game, Maybe Wooster will travel 30. They are looking for a game the first week of those two seasons. ???

Probably about the same odds as St Johns coming 800 though.

WELCOME TO THE MACHINE!

30 feet, 30 miles, 30,000 leagues under the sea - Wooster ain't coming, nor will it host Mount Union. Wooster must have its reasons, which probably won't change in the foreseeable future - one can only guess what they might be.

There is , or was a 2002 MUC ring on yesterday,,being sold out of a Dover area dealer price was at 199.

I'm just trying to figure out why two DI WR (Joe Morgan, Illinois and Teddy Robb, Akron) would ever transfer to Walsh.

Grades? Attitude?

Both are probable factors.  There is a tie with Walsh football on the Illinois staff who may have helped a struggling player's landing in an NAIA program from the Big 10 a little softer, but that's pure conjecture, on my part.  At least the young men are still enrolled in college and involved in football.  From my point of view that's still a positive move, even if Walsh doesn't throw the ball well or often.

Wooster has its reasons for not scheduling MUC.  Any school within a few hours drive of Alliance can guarantee itself a decent gate hosting Mount Union in an early season game.  The football program can also gain a degree of credibility in the polls by playing well against the Raiders then doing well in its conference.  It would seem that the benefits for Wooster playing Mount would be great, but for whatever reason, its not going to happen again.

As much as I'd like to see MUC open with an NCAC/Ohio team for purely selfish travel reasons, I completely understand why noone wants any part of Mount.  Especially in Week 1.  Getting drilled to open the season isn't a great way to build confidence in a team trying to climb up from the depths of mediocrity.

Helping the search.

I find this rather uspetting.  Who needs $200 bad enough to sell a championship ring?  Even if you were a 2-bit reserve player that road the coat-tails to a title, I can't imagine ever parting with a championship ring for pizza and beer money. >:(

If I had the cash to spare, I'd buy it and give it back to LK.

Not defending whoever is selling it because I never would sell one if I was lucky enough to receive one... BUT... School loans are a big pain in the rear... especially from MUC. I know some kids graduating with $300-$500 monthly payments. If this certain person just got laid off or whatever, he might be on really tough times. Might not necessarily be "beer and pizza money"

Sad to see any MUC grad have to go through it.

Getting drilled to open the season.....ouch....thanks for reminding me 5 months early...

A lot would have to happen for me to sell either of my rings.  Not only that, but I would probably sell the clothes off my back before I part with one of those.  Its ridiculous and sad.
