I think the easy answer for MUC is to play Cecil at WR and bring him in as a "Wildcat" style QB situationally during the season and playoffs, more playoffs than anything.  Realistically, Mount really doesn't need a set QB until the 13-14th week of the season.  I'd be perfectly fine with the QB situation developing throughout the season, a la the Jorris-Micheli years.  Mount should have a QB or two that can hit Cecil for a screen pass or three a game and try to overthrow his 4.3 speed deep.  The O-line will hide an inexperienced QB's indecisions for the most part as well.

and Cecil will be an NFL draft pick if he puts on the muscle like he has been rumored to have

My hunch....Cecil lines up at receiver but the playbook puts the ball in his hands to be thrown as needed. Maybe even have a QB that has great hands. Defense that!
We played a linebacker at fullback when it was needed......why not a versital runner/ receiver at QB? The kid from Louisville actually has the tools athletically. LK might let the kid play as a true Frosh. Im not sure who else might fit the bill, but Im sure there is talent to be mined on the sidelines. ;) Speaking of fullbacks....Is our "DREADED" fullback 100% for this year? :)

Here is an article I found that gives more details on the new FRESHMAN QB coming to Mount from Fla. From the sounds of it I remove the word "transfer" since he apparently did not complete any college time in Fla. and saw the light shining brightly from Alliance. A beacon in the night from the Mecca of football that is MUC. Wise men travel in the night......... Wait stop the music what have "I" been smoking??? LOL!

Anyway enjoy the information. As mentioned before LK had been recruiting him from the begining.

When the Lemon Bay High coaches attended a football recruiting camp for Division II and III and NAIA schools in Cape Coral the past two years, each time they passed the Mount Union College table, one name came up.

Matt Piloto.

Recruited heavily by the Division III powerhouse out of high school, Piloto attended the University of South Florida.

He spent the first half of his freshman year in Tampa as a walk-on before walking away.

Thanks for the edit help Ralph. I knew there was an easier way than copy and paste but I didn't figure it out. LK should have some fun and some decisions this fall at the QB and RB positions especially. The rest is pretty well set. Is it Sept. yet? ;D

Article in today's Review from Kehres speach at the Junior World Championships.

http://www.the-review.com/news/article/4618773

The article ends with the following quote from Chuck Kyle:

Kyle said he was asked by some of the other international coaches if he knew Kehres and how good of a coach he was and he told them they will understand why Kehres has won so much after they listen to him.

"When you listen to him (Kehres) talk, you see why they have the success they do," said Kyle. "Mount Union is what Mount Union is because of that man and it all starts with him."

Great article.

A Kyle coached team is like playing a buzzsaw. He seems to always have talent but a good coach will win with what he has. His talent some years is better than other years but they always are very hard to beat. The best way I can describe Coach Kyle is to use a Bum Phillips quote  " He can take his'un's and beat your'uns or take your'uns and beat his'uns".

Hit the delete button and pray you haven't been quoted. ;)  It may be a little late now but later it may be a good option.

Update on Don Montgomery at Emory & Henry

Don appears to have the football program turned around and headed in the right direction.  An intriguing freshman recruit is running back Adam Pugh the nephew of the 2002 Gagliardi Trophy winner Dan Pugh.  Good luck Don.  See link below for more info.
