I was thinking the same thing about the same stadium.

Western New York doesn't often have many great football players coming out, but there have been a few to make it to the pros.  Unfortunately, there's about as many in the region as some Ohio High Schools have had.  I can only think of one that played more than a season or two.

QuoteI know of 4 from Chautauqua (sp)county who played well for Mount,,Mike , Nick and Jay Sirianni, from Southwestern and Josh Lidell froMaple Grove near Bemus Pt

Mike has a pretty good thing going at W&J. HE has a WR getting some NFL looks

oops looks like the quote thing got me too :D

Glad to see Greg Micheli had a very average college career.

Are you kidding me? Those stats, especially completion % and the ridiculous TD-interception ratio, are off the charts. The championships speak for themselves...and, oh by the way, a mere 3.8 math/physics major.

Truly amazing.

Congratulations to someone who took the term student-athlete to a much higher level.

And to add to the above, Greg has no ego--was a wonderful teammate and very humble.  Had every reason to be a "big timer", but chose the other direction.  Man, I would love to hire him in my company, school, coaching staff, etc.....

I agree 100%.

Just a question for MUC fans from a PAC follower. Is Cecil as good a WR as Garcon was at MUC? I've only seen Cecil at track meets but he appears to be a very good and swift athlete.

Saintsfan...Hope your summer is good. Can't wait for fall practice to begin.

Both are speedsters, but for me, I'd give the nod to Pierre. I think Cecil is still learning the position. However, if my son were polled, he'd pick Cecil as his favorite camp instructor, back to back years..

Perhaps the truth is that Cecil is not nearly as flashy as Peirre.

You have just seen the type of player LK likes to recruit. Smart, hard working, (given the choice a small ego, after all it isn't the individual he wants as much as the team mate.) and a passion for the game. You now have described Greg Micheli. ;)

The other fact is........Cecil is very very small compared to Pierre.  I remember reading on here that Cecil has "bulked up" since last year.  Well my son attended the MUC camp, so I had a chance to see Cecil up close and personal.  If that is "bulked up", I can only imagine how skinny he was last year.  Don't get me wrong, he is solid, but Pierre was HUGE compared to Cecil.

OK sports fans.........Jr. and I are headed to Baltimore for his full contact football camp.  Needless to say, he is totally psyched.  I am also psyched that I will get to just hang out, eat seafood, lay by the pool, MAYBE drink a few beverages, and oogle all the tourist type females wandering around the inner harbor.

Hopefully Jr. can learn a lot, and get to lay a few special "hellos" on some Maryland kids.  After all, they are all probably RAVEN fans!

Good luck with the scenery and safe travels.

Thanks for the kudos to Chautauqua County NY, the Sirianni boys and Josh Liddell.
You have another Maple Grove product coming in August at RB.  Jake Larson was NYS Football Coaches Assn Class D Offensive POY.  Class D State Champs, 31 TD's, 10+ yds/carry.
It will be interesting to see how he stacks up against the Ohio boys.

Means we'll get a lot of db's and lb's out of all those RB's and QB's.
