Thanks for the kudos to Chautauqua County NY, the Sirianni boys and Josh Liddell.
You have another Maple Grove product coming in August at RB.  Jake Larson was NYS Football Coaches Assn Class D Offensive POY.  Class D State Champs, 31 TD's, 10+ yds/carry.
It will be interesting to see how he stacks up against the Ohio boys.

We're going to need more footballs......what, 10 QB's, 15 RB's and 25 Kickers are scheduled to report in this recruiting class? ??? ;D

Means we'll get a lot of db's and lb's out of all those RB's and QB's.

Very true 70's. Heck as big as the QB is coming out of Florida we could end up with a tackle.  :)

Hey Bump the switch from QB to tackle has happened at Mount recently. My kid went to Mount as a QB/TE then discovered the joys of eating and lifting as much as you want and, voila, an o-lineman was created.

QB's and RB's are the best athletes in High School (especially QBs)... as has been said on here, you can move them elsewhere as they bulk up, etc.

Mount can afford to not need guys to play right away, so this is a great recruiting strategy.

I think that the QB-OL move is probably not that uncommon.  A big, strong, slow-footed QB can excel at the HS level.  Then, his speed hurts him in college and he is transformed into a TE.  Finally, he starts eating/lifting more and is made into a OT.

No kidding! I even think he might've supplemented the eating with a beer or two.

OK sports fans.........Jr. and I are headed to Baltimore for his full contact football camp.  Needless to say, he is totally psyched.  I am also psyched that I will get to just hang out, eat seafood, lay by the pool, MAYBE drink a few beverages, and oogle all the tourist type females wandering around the inner harbor.

Hopefully Jr. can learn a lot, and get to lay a few special "hellos" on some Maryland kids.  After all, they are all probably RAVEN fans!

Skunks:  If you end up in the Inner Harbor, make sure to eat at Phillips Seafood.....local catches, and wonderful choices.  Worth the trip!

Truer words were never spoken.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

Truer words have never been spoken HS Coach. The mirror is not our friend post football.

Imagine a QB hitting his growth spurt late and switching to Center. After the first bobbled exchange there is gonna be some arguing about who has the greatest lack of ball handling skills. :o  Since the QB owes his well being to his linemen, he better choose his words carefully! ;)

I got bored with the lack of quality programming last night and ran my own rerun of the Hobart/MUC playoff game. Kmic was STILL a beast. How is anybody supposed to replace that guy? Then again.......thats what I said about Chuck Moore..........WHO IS NEXT?  Somebody kick the damn ball and lets get on with it already!!!!!

Just rewatched the 2001 Mount/Bridgewater Stagg Bowl. Damn that was a great game and one I had doubts we would or could win. But, TD runs by Chuck Moore and Jason Perkins and some intense defense made the game over the bookstore bandits.  ;)

Have a lot of family in town and needed something to do while kids took naps. I remember Chuck picking that hole and running by himself most of the length of the field vbecause I was standing on the hill in south endzone right behind the play.

We're gonna watch the Rodney Chenos FG game after dinner.  Chenos still gets my nod for the most unlikely looking football player.

BTW I am finally a few pounds over my "program" weight. Didn't want anybody to know I didn't weigh more than 160 pounds

Any word on Morring?  Is he back to 100% yet?  I assumed we would be looking at steady doses of Panchik and 2-8 this year (assuming he's healthy).  I'm also excited about the RB coming in from Benedictine.  I was impressed with him in HS.  But based on history, LK will find someone and it will NOT be anyone I know of.

seventiesraider

He worked the LK/VK football camps and looks good.
