From what I've seen, the next QB will be either Seaman or the kid from FLA.  The other two QB's practicing with the varsity are just place holders to get enough arms to keep the WR's entertained.

Thanks for the update on the QB. I was curious about tailback position? Anyone care to provide input prior to the scrimmage?  Also, what is the possibility that Rocco may start the first game(s), but one of these QBs finishing the season as their ability progresses with LK's offense? I'll defer to the experts as I am fairly new to board and have not been able to attend the highly touted HSCoach "How to properly use quoting.." class.

I just met a guy down here who claimed to have been born and raised in columbus ohio (he was probably 35) just moved to FL, and said hed never heard of mount union. I was completely baffled.

Must be some kind of fairy... was "he" wearing pink?

Ask him where he lived in Cbus........my money is on German Village.

There are people in Columbus who haven't even heard of Capital or Otterbein, so I am not at all surprised.

I think it is a function of getting six pages of coverage in the Disgrace, I mean... Dispatch Sports Section of OSU but a total of ZERO on small colleges.  Friday night is for HS football and it is in the Saturday paper, Saturday is for OSU and they are in the sunday sports section, and Sunday is for pro football and that takes up the majority of Monday's sports section.

It is not a joke when I say that there wasn't even an article on the great Capital-MUC playoff games from 05 and 06, just a small press release.  It's pretty pathetic.

We have the same problem in NJ, Rutgers and Seton Hall (during bball season) get most of the sports coverage along with the NJ High Schools.  The NJAC and other D-III schools like Stevens, FDU-Florham Park, Drew get squat.  The NJAC represents the state more often in the NCAA post season than schools from every other division combined but rarely get covered.

Interesting note from the NFC East blog on ESPN.com:

"I know this will disappoint my hardcore football audience, but this blog entry from Matt Terl of redskins.com fame was too good to pass up. As part of a pro-education campaign, the Redskins tracked down the T-shirts for the 61 colleges their players attended...

"Chris Wilson's Northwood T-shirt was also tough to come by, but everything worked out. London Fletcher's alma mater, John Carroll, sent along a pink football T-shirt. Scroll down Terl's blog to see all the T-shirts."

Is that really the best the Blue Streaks could do?

Ha. Well, if you know anyone from JCU, it makes perfect sense.

Ha!  At least I was familiar with the area before I moved there.  It really is one of the best places to live downtown, but you would be shocked at how many people I met that lived in GV that were surprised by the vibe, so to speak.  Anyway, your initial point is accurate...probably not many Raider fans in the Village.  Closest I came was my neighbor who played hoops at Witt.  He had at least heard of MUC.

My old man is a proud alum of Stevens.  I've honestly never heard/seen that school mentioned outside of my dad and grandpa (also an alum).  Probably not a ton of Ducks in Ohio though.

As a D3 football team, Stevens is unknown because it doesn't field a football team.  As an outstanding engineering school, SIT is widely known - even here in Stark County.

PS-how does HSCoach's tag get in my post.  Sorry, but it's good.

I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.
